I believe both sides will resolve this petty issue through dialogue. Both countries have a lot of trade and strong mutually beneficial relations.

If some chinese arrived at my hotel without a reservation and demanded that they be allowed to settle in the lobby for one whole day, I would have kicked them out too.

And if they refused to leave, I would have asked security to kick them out.

And if they refused to leave, I would have asked security to kick them out.

They were not free loaders Mr. ! They just showed up earlier than the day of the booking I would guess maybe 12 hours earlier and this happened due to Airline scheduling. (Lost in translation). I know it because I made a similar mistake 20 years ago while visiting Dubai from NY. I only arrived 12 hours earlier at midnight dubai time, and my booking was actually for next day, but like a good hotel they allowed me to stay in the lobby for the night and gave me the room 9am, 3 hours earlier than normal 12 noon check-in. This is called professionalism which the stupid Swedish hotel was totally lacking.

To allow for a family of 4 to loiter in the Lobby for 12 to 18 hours is just plain idiotic.

Were you just a single traveller or with your entire family when you stayed in that lobby ?

If they weren't such cheapskates they would have booked a room for that day in a different hotel. Rather than force themselves onto the lobby of that hotel. Pathetic.
