just watched this video
it has a lot of episodes
this episode is about love freedom
some parents are not happy about the marriage of their son/daughter
and they can threaten to kill their son/daughter or the lovers
and the police will also help these insane parents

Jesus, what of crazy nation and police?

In India, the majority population are busy with surviving and most of them are illiterate or not educated enough to be involved in politics or discussion of policies, except voting. They actuallly have no say in politics except voting. And even in voting, their are forced or fooled to elect someone they don't know.

But in China, since the population are much better educated and more wealthy. It has more poeple who are involved in discussion about politics and policies. It has huge Internet population who are discussing, criticizing and giving suggestions about policies, their voices are being heard and adopted by the Chinese government.

Yes, it is true that Chinese can only curse the government, political leaders, say something like "overthrow the government" "the president is a stupid dog" on Internet. They can't speak like this on TV. But "being able to curse the government or leaders on TV" is not so important component in democracy. Involvement of policy discussion is, isn't it?

I feel in India, mostly the elites have a say in public and express whatever they want, but majority Indians have no idea what democracy is, so it is like elite democracy. While in China, those elites, public intellectuals are somehow constrained by the government, they can criticize, but can't pass some red line, like Tian'anmen Square, split the country. But ordinary Chinese can generally express freely. It is populace democracy.

Is China actually more democratic than India?

Should democracy only mean multi-party politics?
can't it be "people decide/influence the nation's politics/policies"?

Indeed, in Chinese, democracy is 民主,the first word 民 means people, the second word 主 means dominate or master. Our democracy is a spirit , so We use democracy parts assembling the first professional government in the world. We train and test officials ability, and choose the best man in the location of the most in need, and people's congress voted.
the People's Republic of China belongs to the Chinese people , We are shareholders of our country, and the Party is the best CEO, we need politicians, not superstar, that's why China can grow so fast.

CPC doesn't have a silver tongue, but they work more than talk.

Democracy and individual liberties are separate things. This is why I always talk in favour for individual liberties instead of democracy.

Yes, they are two different things. Individual liberty doesn't necessarily mean democracy, it is the foundation, just one element of it, because without control it could be harmful and lawless to the civil world. So, in any country, extreme liberty results to social disorders, and the range of individual liberty is always constrained by law and convention. In democracy countries, while people are enjoying freedom, they have to undertake relevant responsibilities, to build the law and make the community more orderly regulated, so the general liberty will not be affected by extreme and lawless free acts by some groups.

and primitive isnt a swan in the first place```it has nothing to do with civil and social liberty

half of the african countries are more civil and developed than India```you should quote 'they talk like the American and act like sub-saharan countries'

Thanks, that's I meant to express.
