Yes obviously any opportunistic party will use it to the fullest. But the effect the story has on normal british people (those who are afraid to be called racist) is pretty big.
Till now EDL was on the fringes, now many people are saying, "well EDL are bunch of loones but they do have some valid point".

you are not girl. Some may find him attractive. Also, the manner in which they speak, how they influence young girls , money, drugs, all these matter too.

I am not saying they are not guilty. I am only pointing out that they are not some deviant crazy evil people, all of the people (one guy was 52 year old) were leading very normal life.
Also, I am still unsure whether these guys think they did anything wrong, except being caught.

The conservatives are in the govt and they will nurture EDL...
But hate always finds new target...if EDL is let lose,their hate wont stop at Pakistani Muslims..it will be back to 1950s when there was a lot of racism against all non english...be it irish,scots welsh or scouse....
As far as Pakistanis are concerned,we are here since 1960s when racism against us was much worse and no laws protecting us..
Even it goes back to 1960s level,we will have the benefit of numbers which we didnt had in 1960s.
So don't worry we will be fine.
Although its worth mentioning that come 2014 there will be referendum on Scottish independence and if it goes through,many Pakistani British will move to Scotland instead of staying in England,as Scotland is far less racist than England.
