in order to answer you will need to be open, Lavi and J-10 have differences as well as similarities, that will tell you how much they share in common and how much Lavi influenced J-10

The Lavi like J-10 have landing gear struts that are kept inside their fuselage; the main landing gear struts, in Lavi as well in J-10 are positioned in the fuselage, this is done to leave the wing free for hard points and better wing fuselage blending, the crystal model has solutions of Mirage V and you can see that because it is a mid wing, in order for the Lavi to have a main landing gear struts on the fuselage like F-16 they need fuselage wing blending and a low wing.
