What's new

Chattogram witnessing topmost development.

Orey Hamarey afnera keu dhoira maira laan....May Allah save the Bangla language from these cultural fakes....
Do not worry, @Bilal9. I was just quoting Khwaja Nazimuddin of Dhaka. He became the Governor General (President) of Pakistan in 1948 after the death of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. At one time he came to Dhaka from Karachi, the federal Capital of the then Pakistan. When the newspapermen started talking with him in Bengali, he uttered, 'Hami Bangla Bhuliya Gechi". He was probably worried about his position with the west Pakistani politicians.

Now, do you really think that I am a cultural fake with a false flag?

Most of the development in Chittagong is either in it's early stages or hasn't even begun yet. What substantial development has the city made in the past decade? The roads and waterlogging in CTG is even worse than it is Dhaka and I don't see the city expanding like what Dhaka is doing in Uttara and Basundhara.

Forget the last decade and look at what is happening now.
By 2021, we will have the outer ring road, elevated expressway and the tunnel ready.
Also 5500 cores will be spent to alleviate the water logging.

By watching the video footings I almost thought, all these projects have been completed and commissioned for traffics. But, anyway, let the people celebrate on the animations and renderings while the real construction works continue for a few more years, if not decades.

Err.. the outer ring road has already made major progress in being built as you can see from the video.

The Karnapuli tunnel boring will start in September this year once the machine arrives in BD from China. China has released the funding for this year. Please see latest on the construction as below:

Why are you so negative at BD all the time and keep talking from total lack of knowledge? You claimed that BD has not widened a single 2 lane highway to 4 lane since 1971 and then was proved wrong as 2 had already been widened to 4 lane. A 3rd is also 4 lane now as shown in the video by @Homo Sapiens. Next road that will be widened to 4 lane is Dhaka to Sylhet, and construction there has not started yet as a Chinese firm tried to bribe BD and so it will now be done with BD's own funds.

Dhaka and Chattogram will have world-class infrastructure in the next 10-15 years and all you can keep doing is whining!

The construction work of much-awaited Karnaphuli Tunnel in Chittagong will begin on October 10 this year.

The Karnapuli tunnel boring will start in September this year once the machine arrives in BD from China. China has released the funding for this year.
Read the news above. I am not blaming you, but Karnaphuli tunnel was supposed to start in October 2016. Now, you are telling it will start this year. If someone points the discrepancies, you shout him down by saying of negative mind.

BD authorities publicize something surreal things about project implementation. Many other projects are similarly delayed because of their inefficiency. You do not have to cry foul for tiny reasons. About road widening, tens of such Zilla roads need widening work. But, you are chaste thumping only on one or two roads. Please talk to Mr. Quader, your minister uncle, to fix the Dhaka-Aricha road.

Not all project got delayed for few years. Karnaphuli tunnel delayed for 2 year due to late arrival of Tunneling machine. Outer Ring road project did not delayed much and working progressing on full speed. By now more than 75 percent soil works completed. Before 2013, there was not a single flyover in Chittagong city, now 4 flyover are handling the traffic there including this 5.2 km long Akhtaruzzaman flyover. Note that, this long flyover traversing the most busy areas of the city significantly alleviated the traffic congestion there. But this flyover completed and opened for traffic 6 months before schedule.

Again and again, what is your problem dude?

This is nothing new and also happens in the UK and that is a developed country with money and technology.

BD did not have the money and so needed to wait for China to release the funds which they have finally done. Without the money from China, the Chinese company that manufactures the tunnel boring machine did not start the construction till this year. Now that the money has been released we shall see the tunnel being constructed by the highly experienced Chinese engineers in a timely fashion.

3 roads of nearly 500km have so far been widened to 4 lanes since 2009 and more are going to be done very soon. Have you heard of a concept called momentum? It takes some time after a party gets into power to start doing things in BD due to the fact that whichever party gets into power, it wants to undue what the other does. Now AL will win this coming election and so we can look forward to huge amounts of projects being constructed by the time of the next election in 2024.

With the Chinese providing many billions of dollars worth of loans, much larger BD economy and also the political stability of AL that BD has never had in last 30 years, we are seeing development at much greater speed than ever before.

I seriously think that you need to go see a psychiatrist as you make no sense!

By April 2018, Tunnel's 14% works has been completed, after arrival of tunneling machine by June/July, the main works will start. So, it is not true that, works on Tunnel yet not started. It is happening now.
