Chandrayaan 3 - a curtain raiser by ISRO

. .
It's penetrating inside the soil
Sorry I got things mixed up, while looking at the graph.

Your point is right though, just 8 cm depth drops the temps by 60 to 70 degrees. Fascinating

Perhaps because its on the polar region, the Equatorial part might differ.

an emirati has no hunger and receives free education, free health care all top quality.

It does not take a genius to get billions of barrels of oil spurting out at $3 cost, and selling it for $80. You can cloth your tiny population in gold diamonds and emeralds and not make a dent in your earnings.

This link is for anyone interested, on why we or everyone else is gunning for Moon and Mars. People in general and media as well, always keep talking of Pride etc.

Please check the first 30 t0 40 min, where the General saab explains in Desi style. He isn't just a retired General, and works at IIT Madras as a part of the User team.

Its really informative.

Not exclusively Indian brains. For instance, the technology that allows the Indian rover to navigate on the lunar surface is supplied by NASA.

Awww ! Why do you have to burst their ego balloon?

Just when they have a desperate need to boast about something (anything!).

Seriously however - one must give props to the Indians involved in pulling this off.

This was a great effort.

Not as good as any other comparable nation (China, for example). But still great.

you’re right the Chinese went solo, it’s admirable. But since they don’t share it’s hard to say how much value was extracted by the Chinese from these missions. NASA isn’t entirely altruistic in its support for ISRO or ESA et al. It gets valuable data to plan its own missions in return.

Which is reflected in India getting onboard Artemis accords, and our PM declaring that this mission can help future missions.

Your mention of NASA help with communication is rover might be not known well, but NASA and ESA help with telemetry is already well known around.

Its just that cheap fanbois of dragon on here, try to point out such help and feel it somehow diminishes India's capabilities overall in executing this program. Cheap Thrills like Sia's song suits these idiots well.

Building a entire rocket, propulsion module , lander and rover, rockets that can still operate after staying in space in sleep mode till they got to the moon (first to escape gravity and then in reverse to slow down). These people feel all this counts to nothing. What can one say but lol.
