Beautiful! Seems as if western architecture is quite dominant in Hokkaido, quite different from rest of Japan isnt it? :)

Yes, Northern Japan is very, very unique from the rest of Japan. :)

@xenon54 ,

Someday i hope you have the chance to visit Hokkaido , if you love nature, you will love it there. It's cool during summers, and its cold (as cold as -30 C ) during winters. But i love it ! There is nothing more that i miss than a mountain hike during winter time. Where there is only you, our boots, and the quiet! And the nature around you...

@LeveragedBuyout what up? Long time not seen you around. :)

Hey xenon :wave: I still lurk on PDF, but I'm a bit burned out by the keyboard nationalists and trolls, so I'm taking a break from actively participating. I still respond to tags from those whom I hold in high regard (you included), but I generally don't volunteer anymore (or at least, I won't for a while). Remember Rudyard Kipling's "If"? The intro reads:

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

...sound familiar? It's rather difficult to keep one's cool in the face of constant provocation on PDF, so I prefer to lurk--I'm no longer a young man, it's better for my blood pressure ;). I admire your level-headedness in the face of the hotheads, but I find I am better off saving my energy to fight my battles in the real world. If you have something specific you would like me to comment on, though, I am always willing to oblige.

Japan looks very... um, American!!! Looks like the same country, well, except for the canyons.
