like Bachi (Urdu for Girl but in todays slang they use it for chick)
Yes this is the turkish tea house thread.

Bahçe means garden so Cay Bahcesi means tea garden.

An open air place where you drink tea and chitchat with your family/friends.

Turkish tea is typically prepared using two stacked kettles (çaydanlık) specially designed for tea preparation. Water is brought to a boil in the larger lower kettle and then some of the water is used to fill the smaller kettle on top and steep (brew) several spoons of loose tea leaves, producing a very strong tea.

Sounds like the Italian Moka pot ...it uses the same concept as above only they use fresh ground coffee powder (I dont drink coffee but the process was interesting to observe when an Italian colleague was making some):

So err...the water boils at the bottom goes to the top (kettle) and then comes back to the bottom to come out of the tap?! confusing indeed...I am the type of person who would open it while the tea is brewing...Me and the Japanese post doc kept opening the Italian moka ot to check how the water goes up and all :p:

No water is boiling at the bottom and heats the upper part with Tea, you first fill the glass with concentrated Tea and thin down with hot water.

I was talking about that big cooler like thing at the bottom (pix in post 20)...oh so is that just to boil water?

It boils water and cooks (dont know its called like this) Tea at the same time, you fill concentrated Tea and hot Water separated.

Edit: yes the big bottom part is only for water.

So it's the same. :)
Yep. :)
