Then i have to call them as a bunch of @$$ holes and M@ther Fukers... I want my people to come out, from this trap... Don't know when this stupidity is going to end, until then we cannot achieve growth...

Some times, i have cursed TN politicians, for alienating us from Hindi and other North Indian stuff.. Now I feel, they are correct that's why these sort of caste cr@p didn't messed up TN much more....

TN doesn't have caste issues ? Ofcourse they do. And who told you TN is alienated from N India ?

the upbringing is because of historical advantage. You had a headstart, but my point is, instead of stopping brahmins, we should try pushing others forward so that they can compete after few generations.
I have known few SC friends who were much smarter than upper caste people, simply because their parents were educated and rich(relatively) themselves

I have heard upper caste people being dismissive ( pigs wont become cows if they dress well.. like somebody said)... but it will go away in time.

Does it the caste system have anything to do with compplexion?to this day never have i seen a dalit or a lower caste member that has a light complexion(again i mean no racism just curious)

It was not personal. I am too liberal in my views to do that and surprised that you took it personally.

I have met many people who keep repeating this " historical wrongs on our forefathers " argument .. Has become very boring now.

I was asked my caste before asking my name by an educated person when travelling in train (he was 60 ish, a doctor)...
I refused to say, but then assumption is you are lower caste if you dont reveal

Caste is still quite important for many people.
And yes, I have heard it many times, people being dismissive about STs and SCs, sometimes openly talking sh*t about them.

hmm.. generally yes in north India, but I have not travelled enough in north India, so am not really sure.
It will make sense though, as they were doing menial work in sun for hudereds of years.

Exactly... Thats the way to go.. Meritocracy has to kick in someday.

Reservations which were supposed to provide representation to the people who were historically prosecuted has become a political tool now. It has become employment scheme and the biggest abusers are the political class of these castes. You will be amused ( or, rather disgusted ) by the manner these "lower caste " politicians treat their fellow "caste members" in the confines of their home..

And the way things are unfolding..Pretty soon "Upper Caste" people will also have reservations...

Of course it is... It will remain important for sometime to come. But that does not mean the society is not changing. Younger generation is flexible about inter caste marriage.
