Subtle cues can create the best ideas. When it comes to cars, sports cars in particular, a main focus is to create a vehicle that depicts speed and is aerodynamically sound. As far as those characteristics are concerned, few things can compete with the designs of fighter jets.

8. Supersonic Concept - The cockpit inspiration on the Supersonic concept is obvious with the in-line seating and horseshoe steering wheel. Serbian industrial designer Marko Lukovic was responsible for the almost bullet-like aluminum three-wheel car.

9. Lamborghini Gallardo WWII Bomber - Based off the F-86.

10. Lamborghini Reventon - One of the most expensive and rarest cars in the world. Only 20 of these were ever produced. Unit price: $1.5 million.

11. Tramontana R Edition - A combo of a formula 1 car, and a fighter jet. Goes 0-100 in 3.6 seconds. Armed with a V12 engine producing 760 HP(!!!) and weighing only 2750 Lbs.

12. USAF Challenger Vapor - Another fighter inspired plane from the USAF. The inside has night and thermal vision, remote control ability, and a biometric cabin entry.
