War creates a lot of jobs in the defense industry, as well as for other American contractors. A subjugated enemy also opens an avenue for American industries to penetrate easily. And the forced dependence of the victim on the USD gives the US additional capacity to print free money without proportionate inflation.

It would have resulted in a stalemate …ie with out the US

The Russians had already caused 1 million casualties by Dec 1941.. read the interviews and transcript diaries from OKW heads they knew the war could not be won and would result in a statement ..

So Israel started a wholesale slaughter of Palestinians, knowing the Palestinians would respond which was then used as a pretext to commit atrocities and genocide which they knew would cause a reaction in Muslim countries and this would be used as a pretext to bomb Iran's Oil refineries and infrastructure. Time to invest in US weapons companies, lots of money to be made.
