LAHORE – No general elections, due to be held next year 2018, would be conducted and no government will be formed under the prevailing parliamentary system, claims a local newspaper at a time when political situation in country is highly unstable.

Daily Khabrain has claimed that a decision regarding setting up a caretaker government for next three years has been made in order to make Pakistan a corruption-free country as all institutions want to get rid of menaces nurturing under the current political system.

It further claimed the caretaker government, comprising old politicians, bureaucrats, technocrats and retired generals, will be headed by former chief of army staff General (r) Rahil Sharif to ensure the accountability of everyone.

Through the caretaker government, a way would be paved for introducing presidential government system by eliminating the current power-sharing system, parliamentary system, in order to strengthen Pakistan.

Credible personalities, including Dr Attaur Rehman, Nisar Memon and others, would be brought into the parliament through caretaker government for holding accountability.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) termed it unrealistic stating that Raheel Shairf is under a five years contract with Saudi government during which he cannot do anything else, the newspaper reported.

Believable and plausible...actually there is already a de facto national government or call it caretaker government...working behind the scenes.

How come so many western countries and Arab countries are helping SC, JIT and Intelligence, FIA, IB, ISI with the overseas accounts of corrupt politicians...and sharing the details of looted money here with NAB, and FIA...this is not possible without the establishment calling the shots as current government ministers are also involved in corruption, and they cannot have asked for help from other governments where the looted money is stashed.

Also some media men is also talking about it, not openly but in hushed voices. Like Dr. Shahid Masood...in Live with Shahid Masood in Newsone live...

They are calling it a 'National Government'....with technocrats, famous personalities with stellar records, some politicians in the set up....

Absurd and ridiculous.

Elections will happen in 2018. You can't make a caretaker govt for three years. Its illegal and unconstitutional. It would require a constitutional amendment( not gonna happen) or a martial law abolishing the Parliament ( more chances of Uzbekistan announcing merger with pakistan). Parliament can legally announce a one year delay in case of emergencies but that is extension of tenure. Nothing else.

A caretaker govt must do elections in three months.


Sorry but these are unrealistic masala news rubbish.
