Just to clarify, Captain Shumaila is a martyr and her little daughter is a martyr too.
"And do not say of those who are slain in the way of Allah that they are dead. Instead, they are alive, but you perceive not."(2:154)
The information in this verse will apply to the daughter as well, by the grace of Allah!
This is not something we make up to feel good, as deluded secularists seem to imagine. This is objective information, as real as the fact that we speak, and those who fail to see it need to reflect on the Quran.
We are sad, and they, by the blessing of Allah, have attained the ultimate happiness.
Our duty to stop the killing and fight the terrorists comes from the Book of Allah.

The purpose is quite simple - to cause terror. The tactic of terrorism is pretty easy to understand. It's a message from them that "If you don't accept our demands, we will keep killing your people randomly. Your people are not safe, until you accept our demands."

Captain Shumaila was among the 55 martyrs of Wagah suicide bomb blast. She belonged to the Army Medical Corp and got recently promoted as the Captain. She was visiting her family in Lahore. Captain Shumaila lost her life together with her husband, two children and a niece.

If I am correct, she is perhaps the first lady officer of Pakistan Army to embrace Shadah.

May Allah give her high place in the heavens. Ameen.
