What's new

can't we even make a decent cctv camera??

Importing could be done due to various reasons- quality, cost and maybe even a good bribe.

its the quality mate..........its very depressing considering the population of israel is 80 lakh!!!

I do a lot of photography myself with Canon EOS system and can therefore tell that best optics & lenses belong to Japanese and German companies (Zeiss etc). Advantage for China (like many other products) lies in its competitive manufacturing costs which is undeniable.
But to put things in perspective, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are fast emerging as new garment hubs of the world and the reason is their competitiveness.

Please choose the title of a thread carefully otherwise there is no dearth of people eager to make Kachara of even the most worthwhile topics.

or the stone age tech in domestic companies simply not enough to build it?

such cctv cameras are too complicated for india, how about starting from some simple ones? is there any indian company capable of building and selling 5 million smartphones a year? I mean using its own processors.

care to name the fancy indian company doing this?
or maybe name the indian company that is building base stations for india's LTE network?

just answer a simple question

CAN U HAVE A SECOND CHILD IN CHINA??
i wonder why are you brave enough to ask this stupidt question?
our population growth rate is higher than most (maybe all )European countries.you'd better check how many children per their family have.
another tip for you: if a countriy's population is growing, how many children should per family have at least?i think it's not hard to give a proper answer if your iq is higher than 50.
now,are you brave enough to ask your question again?

you mean I don't know ARM? or we Chinese don't ARM?

My first experience with ARM started in 2001 when working on Intel's StrongARM processor, then in 2003, I worked on several ARM7TDMI based projects including SAMSUNG S3C4510 and S3C44B0X. Shall we continue here?

The first publically available Chinese ARM clone designed was uploaded to the Internet in 2001, it was done by a Chinese graduate student:
Student's ARM7 clone disappears from Web | EE Times

For the current main stream products, how about Huawei's 8 core ARM processor K3V3?

licensed from UK? see above, ARM7 was cloned by a Chinese graduate student in 2001!

How about this:
