Canada strips Suu Kyi of her honorary citizenship

Stupid to give it to military puppet in first place.

Except that Jordan Peterson did no such thing, because he's a manipulative fox, that's convinced his idiot followers that he's smarter than he actually is.

The bill didn't criminalize anything, and Peterson grossly mischaracterized the stance taken by the left, as he often does, constantly.
I do not want to derail the thread but from what I have read, bill c16 (now a law) does enforce the usage of gender appropriate pronouns and courts can penalize you in failing to abide by the right pronoun usage guidelines.
The punishment might be community service or of a monetary nature, failing to come good on which will result in a jail term. I will post a link from a tweak leftist source:

The headline is a misrepresentation of the content.
P.s- no a big Jordan peterson fan, but I am just trying to portray how stupid Canada's leftist leanings have become in the recent past under princess Trudeau

Liberals are the consummate weather vanes...they change direction depending on the prevailing wind (unlike conservatives and NDP who tend to be more staunch to certain positions).

Lately more and more asians in both US and Canada are leaving liberal party and democrat party because of exactly what you highlight...the political correct movement is basically causing massive reverse discrimination due to the better economic performance of East Asians. A classic case nowadays is their threshold marks needed in SAT etc and extracurricular to get into say harvard (and most ivy league) compared to other groups (rather than having same merit based standard for all).

It was very disturbing as well how liberal party in canada brushed that serious incident of that refugee attacking+murdering that chinese girl under the carpet and suppressed discussion of it too.

All this is adding to what @Jlaw is saying, whatever personal support/dislike is of Trudeau in the "polls"....a lot of actual voting/turnout for liberals (esp in traditional votebanks they enjoyed earlier) is eroding big time now because people do not like this groupthink escapism that liberals are going all in with. I personally know many liberal friends, who like Trudeau personally, but think his policies (and his party policies) suck big time...they will not be voting for him again. People increasingly want to know the exact position someone holds (on critical issues) and that they will stand by such.... before giving them their vote. It is welcome phenomenon. It is why Liberals lost power in the two biggest provinces this year (though there was anti-incumbency in action there too).
I agree man, leftist leanings have turned a shade bizarre now. Such blatant rape of native ethos is plain wrong to appease immigrants and 'minorities' the definition of which keeps adding new and new tribes every day. The left is trying to start a fire

Some focus on the figure head some focus on the administration/party. Trudeau seems well liked by his base. I've seen him personally on a random occasion a few years ago and seems like a nice and personable guy.

Provincially speaking, it seem like Ontario is tired of the Liberal party due to a failed economic policy (ie, electricity generation) and corrupt elements. They've recently voted in PC and voted out the Liberals. As much as people want to feel good about the image of their government, in the end I think most people tend to vote according to their pockets.
I mean, provincial liberal party is quite different from the federal liberals, so I don't think it's fair to say that the federal liberals were targeted by the ousting of Ontario liberal party.

A lot of people who voted for Doug ford and his provincial PC party, are starting to regret it. They've see the shitty policies he's so far enacted, and his policy on climate change is going to cost Ontario $20 billion.

https://pressprogress.ca/jason-kenn...e-change-would-cost-over-20-billion-per-year/

Let's not forget, most Ontarions support left leaning parties, they just didn't want to vote for Kathleen Wynn, who was a terrible Premier.

With the conservative party now split, both federally and provincially, I bet next federal and provincial elections will see the the conservative party go back to 3rd place, where they belong.
