I also oppose introduction of large number of immigrants to China, if that happen, say lots people from Africa and other third world countries, China will be chaotic and ungovernable I am sure. Chinese nation is now already very crowded with used up habitable lands and very complex with many number of diverse mixes of ethnic groups, we don't need to make the matter many fold complex that will make the country uncontrollable and ungovernable. But, importing small number of qualified skilled workers in particular fields that are needed in the country should be OK. The foremost responsibility of Chinese state is the survival and well being of the Chinese people and Chinese nation there in the long run, not primarily serving the interests of foreigners or competing for the most cosmopolitan and internationalized nation on earth as in the Tang dynasty. The Tang dynasty recruited 50% of its military officers from foreign lands(胡人), and these foreign army officers had basically no loyalty to the Chinese nation and people. The golden age of prosperity of Tang dynasty had just lasted little more than one hundred years. Later, these foreign army officers led by 安禄山和史思明 started the bloodiest rebellion against Chinese nation the Tang dynasty, killed many large number of Chinese people and totally destroyed and ruined the nation that to this day China has not totally recovered. The rebellion of 安禄山和史思明 marked the ultimate decline of Chinese civilization for more than a thousand years. The hard lesson of ultimate chaos, war and ruin of Tang dynasty and China in general as the result of obsession with cosmopolitan should not be discarded.
