Canada Miss World: China denying me entry over comments

But this woman is definitly ugly in Chinese eyes.

Have a look at her daily photo rather than using make-up.

You do think she is beautiful? @vtnsx
No wonder Pakistani and Indian in China usually marry ugly girl, what a weird taste...;)
Beauty lies in the eye of the beer holder

So you're telling me, China is like the lowlife VCP? VCP and CCP are similar but both of you can't work together your differences. Of course, VCP is nowhere near as powerful as CCP. But CCP felt threatened by a little girl. Lol! that's where I find it funny.
I do think the decision is made by magistrate.
And why you think rejection=feel threatened?
No matter who she is,if she determined to speak highly of Falungong, hehe.
I used Japanese Aum Doomsday Cult for example, but maybe you are too stupid to comprehend.Or you just want to express your hate towards China but don't act as a fool.

. . . .
Well, she's beautiful.

The problem is, Miss Anastasia Lin forgot that Miss World pageant is a cultural event, not a political campaign. And she wants to use this event for justify her political agenda. To me, it's not the place for anyone to mix a cultural event like Miss World pageant with politic. As politic is dirty and separate people, while an event like Miss World pageant is to unite people.

But well, she's a persona non grata in China. So, China has the right to refuse her entering the country.
The problem with this argument is that ALL governments have used various venues for ideological/political purposes. Even banning movies for fear of some 'hidden' political messages is using the entertainment venue for political purposes. And do note that the Chinese members on this forum supports the Chinese government controls and censorship of movies, music, books, and even persons that the Party deems 'anti-China'.

History is filled with such attempts by governments, and to be fair am going to use non-Asian countries. Nazi Germany used the Olympics to promote racial superiority of the Aryan race. The US boycotted the 1980 Olympics over the Soviet Union's invasion of Afghanistan. Even chess is not immune from being a tool and venue for political expressions.

So it is absurd to say that the gorgeous Miss Lin is wrong in using a beauty pageant, a cultural event, to promote her views on politics when governments have done the same in far greater scale.

Of course, the usual name calling. I understand your inferiority and the need to call names to feel good about yourself. That just reinforces my statement about CCP and Chinese men. Insecurity at work.

Go read the article carefully. You're just straight up ignorant. CCP is afraid of a feather. Quit being a sore loser. She was rejected because they felt threatened to let her in. You're just too ignorant to comprehend anything. LOL, calling me stupid? look at yourself.

"While people have only two genders, why do you emphasize she is just a girl? What if oversea Vietnamese decide to come back to Vietnam and make anti-VCP propaganda"

Even you admitted it. LOL, what a two face you are. I have more respect for people being straight up and a man about it. Unlike you, you can't even stand up with your own argument. Quit making excuses.

Everything is said/claimed ,if they want they can write anything in the news,I remember what I saw last time and posted and then Indian argue that it is totally wrong.
To be honest why you try to describe this girl with mild word?Let her look fragile?Let CCP look stronger and eviler?
No sympathy for this ugly girl. And no interest to her.
Feel good about myself? That's another issue, but your emotional speaking unstoppably makes me think you are an idiot and can't understand what I mean.
Plz answer what I asked

Miss World contest turns ugly: China accused of blocking hot favourite Miss Norway..

So it is wrong for Anastasia Lin to use a cultural event to express her political views, but it is accepted for the Chinese government to do the same.

You really don't get it and you never will. You're making this more complicated than it should be.

You should look at your questions and ask yourself is that even relevant to this article.

Your English is grade 5 at best. It's very hard to understand you.

You need help. Here is the portion of the article below. I made it easier so you can understand it better. I feel sorry for you that I have to go this far when I shouldn't. lol

"However, as a vocal supporter of Falun Gong, Lin is almost certain to be denied entry into China, with no formal reason provided.

China outlawed Falun Gong as an "evil cult" in 1999 and allows no public discussion of the movement or alleged human rights abuses connected with its suppression. Chinese law allows for the arrest and imprisonment of anyone suspected of supporting or propagating religious movements not officially approved by the state.

The spiritual and mediation group attracted millions of adherents before being outlawed in 1999 by China's government as a threat to social stability. Followers say China's crackdown has cost the lives of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners. Beijing denies that."

I don't agree with you. Every country has their own rule / policy. You can't justify your own political view to blame another country's rule / policy. Unless you have the "Bring Democrazy to other country" mentality. What PRC do is their own problem, not ours. And Miss. Lin is simply a persona non grata in China.

Plus, she has a political agenda that "cross the line" of something that the host country considered as a sensitive matter. So basically, it's all the PRC government's right to reject Miss Lin to enter their country.

Well yes, Miss Lin is a politician with a beauty pageant robe. Maybe it is absurd to say that she's wrong. But you must see the context. It is also absurd to say that China is wrong to refuse her to come to their country. If you say that Miss Lin has the right to promote her view on politic, China government also has the right to reject her to enter their country.

So have Taiwan, Hong Kong etc had Falun Gong self immolations etc? They say the brainwashing is for real?

Its just difficult to understand China's perspective when no other country (Even Chinese majority country/territory) has accepted China's version of what the falun gong is.

PRC govt has some special insight apparently. A neutral observer will call that a grudge/vendetta without clear evidence.

FaLun Gong is virus/ gene heteromorphosis of Buddhism. Falun is buddhism wheel in Chinese.

Here is what you said...

The problem is, Miss Anastasia Lin forgot that Miss World pageant is a cultural event, not a political campaign.
Your criticism -- that she 'forgot' -- is valid only if what she did was unique, and if it was unique, then China would be in the moral right and standing on moral high ground to deny Lin entry into China.

You criticized her because you did not have the full understanding of how politics, especially international politics, are often injected into things seemingly benign and devoid of politics. Unfortunately, that is not the case and never will be the case whenever countries compete against each other, even in beauty pageants. This is not Ms. Jones vs Ms. Smith. This is Miss USA vs the rest of the world. Or Miss China vs the rest of the world. Or Miss Russia vs the rest of the world.

So yes, it is absurd to say that Lin was wrong in using a beauty pageant as a platform to speak her political views. She has the right to speak, albeit that right is granted outside of China, and China have the right to respond in any manner, from verbal assault to murder if it is China's fancy.

But do not say that Lin was wrong.

It's very weird. The Falun Gong thing has past for, I suppose, 18 years. Anything has not solved? The Miss Lin CAN believe in her whatever Gong, in exotic nation. Believe it in her heart, speak it out everyday, loudly, make me laugh as ISIS vows everyday, they are real Islam believers.
