Taiwan elected pro China politicians as their new leaders. Ukraine war could've been avoided if Ukranian government didn't take hard anti Russia and pro west policies, maybe Ukranians don't know it but people in Taiwan know it very well.

Resolution 505 is ROC’s attempt to nullify the Sino Soviet Friendship Treaty itself signed, unfortunately that’s not how treaty nullification works. A condemnation with no enforcement mechanism does literally nothing just as all condemnation of Israeli occupation by the UN general assembly has no effect.

So the people living on the island democratically made their country what they wanted it to be. That is exactly the way it is supposed to work.

Not when they are a province of a country. The sovereignty of the island belongs to the entire nation not just those that reside there, or any landowners can declare their plot to be sovereign and independent.

When China tries to take back its territory, you think the US is right to stop it.

This is a double standard.
1. Taiwan was never a country, 181 countries around the world recognise Taiwan as part of China and only the Communist Party is the only legitimate regime in China, as witnessed by the UN, don't play word games.
2. the Kashmir war, the Korean war, the civil war between China and Taiwan, were all dormant, the regime and territorial wars never ended, no one cares what another regime thinks because it is politics, if the people don't like their country they can split up and create a new system, that is just the delusion of the separatists.
3. China has a very long history of dozens of regimes that consider themselves "orthodox", the Republic of China is just part of that history, it was very corrupt and weak and was one of the root causes of China's invasion by Japan, no Chinese would want to go back to the system of the past

The fact remains that UN 505 recognized Taiwan as the government speaking for all of China. Historical fact. Here is another fun fact: China's seat in the Security Council is thanks to the prior government, not due to the communists.

Yes, an unfinished civil war , there was never a final peace treaty signed between the two fighting parties, they negotiated many times in the history but almost all failed other than a short term agreement during WW2
