What is your idea of secularism? Can you elaborate? In the Indian context it generally means equal tolerance for all religions. I don't see why Mody needs to change that. Of course he should make sure that minorities do not get preference or veto powers.

@your question: I was also like you, abusing politicians till I had been to gujrat last year. In 10 years Gujrat has changed . I had been to Surat "During Plague and last year ", Surat has been changed radically. How can a city change from garbage dump to one of the cleanest city of India.

I had been to Sabarmati river bank, It was awesome. With just 1/1000th of money spend (compare to Yamuna in Delhi) the river bank is changed into beautiful place.

This man has delivered in Gujrat, we must give him a chance.

1. He will not kill 2.5 billion Muslims.
2. He will not become tyrant like Hitler(In India system its difficult to become tyrant)

According to NaMo- I am a patriot and a nationalist
and i am a born Hindu so i am a Hindu nationalist.
Being patriotic and keeping India before anything else is what Narendra Modi's idea of secularism..Secularism does not means doing everything for the minorities it also does not means not doing anything that oppresses the minorities.

Hence my reason to say the gujrat model cannot be used as a shining example. as for the bjp , they have more against modi than the congress at the moment.

And so?? Advani wants to become PM but Modi is more popular than him so they choose Modi,its not like anyone is going against the modal of growth in Gujarat.

You got me wrong , I am not fanboy of Modi.. And what Gujrat model?? Good governance will work everywhere. There are good ppl in system, They just need good environment.

It was same ppl who worked extremely well under Shastrijee/Bajpai jee and Narsihma Rao Regime. It is the same ppl who are looting public money in Gandhy's rule.

I have read Modi extensively, There are few traits of Modi
1. He fix responsibility to top official which channeled down till peon level.
2. In his first 5 years he worked extensively on Industrial growth (because without money nothing will work)
3. In his next 5 years he worked extensively on Farming
4. He brought right ppl at right place and gave them freedom to execute there responsibility.

I think if these 4 are Gujrat Model, I am sure it will work everywhere.

I am sorry but things have changed allover India, we have best tar road connecting my village to nearest market, thanks bahenji for that, law and order were better during behenji, still she lost.

we still don't vote for development.
