What do you mean by "trust"?
In reality, internation geo-politics is not based on some moral or good-will grounds but on mutual interests no matter how close the countries relations. Trust is to be relied on only to that extent.
The more democratic a country, the more we can depend on the morality of trust and related issues. Seeing that US in recent years has an abysmal record of democratic participation by the masses, that ahs to be taken into account. Of course the situation has improved after the Bush years, but what would be really good is that US brings a law of cumpolsary voting like other developed countries
Well its not really the literal meaning of trust but Its the understanding that they can uphold their agreements , and show solidarity, when push come to shove.
Will they help India get a seat on the SC, if we give them what they want.(this has been speculated on a lot, The US said that it needs to Expand the security council by two members and mentioned Japan as one of those members. Now i may be wrong but the other member may be India, They just want something from India before they support it publicly).
I still dont know what they want from India ?
Any idea's
Will they uphold the US-INDIA nuclear deal. ?
I believe the US can be trusted on a limited basis.
When our interests coincide, and other such scenarios
They have little to gain by simply alienating they selves from India. So they will play ball enough to keeps relations cordial.
I see a future for a mutually beneficial relationship between the two nations.
but it is very unlikely they will go out of their way for India's sake.
Public opinion will be a driving force in the relations, as well. How the societies adapt to each other is also important. Japan for example has had some of its culture absorbed into the US.
This makes it harder for people to suggest things like hatred between two nations.
Also you can rate trust with the US by how many security guards they keep at their embassy's. Which makes Us trust in Pak very low.
jokes, chill my estranged PAK cousins.
i still think its funny how they make themselves a bigger target for terrorists in PAk by bringing more Americans to PAK.
