What's new

Cameron's inflammatory comments against Pakistan: I meant Pakistanis are terrorists..

Also the security establishments are taught to be ruthless and this attitude reflects in the diplomatic dealings with Pakistan winning few friends and more enemies.

Incorrect, our forces are not taught to be "Ruthless", instead my friend was dropped in ISSB because in a picture card exercise he said a man was slapping the other while most said that he was giving him a pat on the back to boost morale, violent and trigger happy fools don't last long in the battlefield therefore they don't last long in the army.
Secondly, which other enemies do we have except for India and Israel ? I cannot recall any.............Angola maybe ?

That is a funny argument. Counter a general norm with an experience of a "friend". Pakistan has more rivals than you can count on the fingers of a hand. Also don't forget Afghanistan.

Heard on GEO and AAJ news tht ghaddari was goin to discuss civil nuclar deal with his old pal sarkozy!!

A better way to put it would be countering theories with real-life examples.

So that makes it three. Can't find any more rivals. US and UK might not be entirely happy with us but are far from rivals. Any other states we missed? So unless you've had some accidents or are naturally lacking fingers, you should be able to count these on the fingers of a hand.

How did you come to the conclusion that Afghanistan is our enemy ? By watching Kabul Express ?
Afghanistan is hardly an "Enemy", Ask Ahmed, he will vouch for me.
Only the illiterate in Afghanistan consider Pakistan an enemy because they believe that we are holding Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa as a part of Pakistan against the will of the local Pukhtuns who are being forced from joining Afghanistan when I can assure you that is not the case.
If we considered them enemies, we wouldn't be providing shelter to 4 million Afghans even today and that is just the registered guys, estimates suggest that there may be another million who are unregistered or orphans/dumped.

As for having more rivals than I can count on my fingers, try me.....i'm good at math, start naming and I'll start counting.

As for friend's experience, let me make it a personal one, our unit caught 5 Indian spies and saboteurs during the 2002 tensions and guess what, we let all 5 live.................You can quote an incident of an act of immense brutality by our forces if you wish to counter my argument, I am waiting.............

Ramu is quite on a roll.

First, not knowing what a state is
Second, not knowing what concrete proof is
Third, saying UK had a historic election turnout of 30% (the minimum turnout EVER being just under 60% in fact)
Fourth, saying UK government being Tory + Conservative coalition (It's conservative + liberal democrat)

Now, Pakistan has more rivals than you can count on the fingers of a hand.

That's only counting the arguments that I've been with him.

Ramu, I have ran out of fingers on my hand to count your mess ups with. Just used up my last one

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: Priceless :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Pakistan has never brutalized an Indian spy or combatant in captivity. If they are returned in bad condition it must be because of the landing.

A few whacks under the ear to make them talk but nothing drastic like pulling their tongues out with pliers as in the case of Sepoy Maqbool Hussein......................

SMC, your logic is now funny and I have stopped taking you seriously. Looks like you jump to conclusions more often than you blink.

What are your thoughts about Russia and Tajikistan? Israel is a small state with the backing of US. So if you consider Israel your rival, you are indirectly adding US too. Being a friend of China in the military dimension alone is not to the liking of South Korea, Japan and Taiwan.

Well typical post - using personal attacks if your argument is countered. "Funny logic", you didn't bother elaborating that. Yeah, using real-life example against theories based on perception is funny logic. But whatever, an indian armchair expert's opinion.

Russia is not our rival. Relations between the two are not great but you can't call us rivals.

Tajikistan.. well it's an irrelevant nation but the relations are not that bad either. They offered to supply us electricity, for instance.

US is our rival? So our rival gave us 10B aid, is going to give us 7.5B more aid, and was ready to sell us 76 F-16s?

Our relations with South Korea and Japan are pretty good.

Taiwan.. well again, do people there consider us rivals?

It'd help you if you figured out the meaning of rivals.

SMC, look at your posts and then talk about personal attacks. Again, you largely rely on semantics when replying to posts and side sweep elements not in your favor.

It is time you stop thinking you are an expert in English as it clearly shows you have crude and rudimentary knowledge of words and try and impose the same nuances on others.

About Tajikistan, they will be very relevant given the distance of Indian air base form Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.

Agree to your point in bold.. However, you can still be ruthless without being trigger happy and violent.. And Sec Forces (all countries) are taught to be that.. Ice cold and ruthless

You deal wholly in personal attacks when it comes to it. Such as when your reply to this post by me:

A better way to put it would be countering theories with real-life examples.

If I happen to use personal attacks, I back it up with arguments on-topic.

When did I side step arguments not in my favour? I generally respond to them or agree with them. You're the one who does it more often than as seen on earlier pages.

It is time you stop thinking you are an expert in English as it clearly shows you have crude and rudimentary knowledge of words and try and impose the same nuances on others.

I never claimed to be an English expert and I will not take the opinion of an indian armchair expert as the barometer of my knowledge and 'expertise' .

About Tajikistan, they will be very relevant given the distance of Indian air base form Azad Kashmir.

But they also offered to sell us electricity. Yes, they have an indian air base but if they considered us rivals they probably wouldn't be ready to sell us electricity - that too in huge amounts.

Even if one assumes that they are our rivals - which some might consider and I don't think it's a big deal to consider them our rivals -, you'd still be able to count our rivals on the fingers of a hand and still have a finger remaining.

Huge sale of electricity = huge money to be made. That is business. So the only argument is you can count your enemies on your fingers. What a victory :victory:

Russia is not a rival but how will you forget the events of 1971? Has our relations with the then soviet changed to our current relations with Russia? No., it is a time tested relation.

If US was not a against you at some level, tell me why it takes so much bargaining to get weapons even for those that you pay and India gets them with advertised with the slightest request for RFI.

Anyway, the argument has now reduced by to whether we can count Pakistan's rivals on your fingers. That is your level of argument. I am sick of the appalling level to which you follow the semantics. Grow up!

Just adding to Ramu's point.....

lets not simplify the definition of rival.... If i go with your defninition then only rival Pakistan have is India and nothing else....Pakistan has not direct conflict with Israel and i don't see any reason they will have one....So please look into direct/indirect rivalry/clash of conflicts.....
