CAIC WZ-10 multirole attack helicopter

.
Someone said that we don't need an attack helicopter since we already have the Cobras.

Remember, the AH-1 is a MEDIUM attack helicopter. Not a heavy, dedicated attack helicopter. For example, Mi-24/28 is a Heavy and Dedicated attack helicopter. KA-50 Black shark isn't.

What we need is a Dedicated attack helicopter fleet. Something like the AH-64 Apache with an OH-58 "Kiowa" for observation, utility, and direct fire support.

That was just an example. But what should we REALLY get? :/

Oh-58 Kiowa's with a Couple of Apaches. lol! Since THAT isn't happening, maybe A129 Mangusta's with a couple of Aérospatiale Gazelle's?

.
We should wait till Z10 and T129 are flying, in the meantime I say keep buying more Cobras and get them all data linked together on the same network.

Well, since the topic is about a dedicated attack chopper, we should all give our input according to that.

As for cheaper ways, yes, there are. But attack choppers usually head in with the armoured divisions to provide an umbrella of protection against enemy tanks. And no one else is best at that.

And remember, attack choppers aren't just used for AT missions. Did you forget about our current involvement in WoT?

I read somewhere that first maiden flight for Z 10 happened in 2003. I also read that 2008 was the target date.

Why are we suggesting 2013 for Pakistan?

Because it's not ready and would not be offered right away until China has a good amount for itself first.

I still think it will happen before 2013 because Pakistan can also produce these in parallel at Kamra.

What is the cost?
