Not necessarily but rather the constraints. The art of a leader is not to make absolute optimization but rather the best optimization within constraints. The rifts in PTI became uncontrollable and led to breaking of vote bank. It was also certain that IK's persona vote bank would also be dented given his non participation. Despite all attempts Bilor could only gain around 10K votes over May 11. PTI however, lost around 60-65K votes over previous turnover. So crucial breathing space to ANP was allowed by PTI weak conflict management skills.

And I think similar situation PML-N faced in NA-48. First they fielded Anjum , then Gujjar

Instead of such Electables, why didn't PML-N fielded Miftaah sahab against asad umar. He is on par with asad umar sahab and good debater and speaker too

But the question is, when everybody knew it beforehand, whats the point of discussing it afterwards? A seat which was crucial for political revival of ANP was thrown away by bad strategy.

They did not make a great come back Balors votes in general elections were 20,000 now with help of PPP,JUIF,PKMAP and even PMLN they improved 14000 votes

we lost seat because pathans felt that Imran left them. This is exactly the case the Balour made against Banazir Bhutto Marhoma that she will left NA 1 public after wiing elections so Balour beat BB

and the other main reason is

PTI candidate got 28,911 vote Balour 34,386 and the NARAZ PTI candidate Samad Mursaleen who did not got ticket got 12000 .(HIT WALL)

Thirdly the family mafia tickets awarded to Asad Qaser relative and Khatak son did the job.Imran should realize his mistake and even force Pervaz Khataks relatives to resign from 3 reserved women seats and give them to someone more deserving. If someone wants to make his family member pti candidate he/she should run for PTI internal elections and not due to family influence

NA1 candidate for current election is not a man with good reputation and PTI should seriously consider supporters view about a potential candidate before awarding Tickets...Many PTIans didn't bother themselves for him and preferred staying at homes...

Not bad strategy, IK ego came in the way. He thinks, everyone is trying to influence him, so what he decides will be done as it is and would not change it on someone behalf.

Repute of Gul badshah is questionable, local PTI provincial bodies requested IK not to field him yet he carried on with his bad choice

Even Inamullah khan Niazi predicted NA-71 defeat in his yesterday "Jang column" and how PTI workers pleaded IK not to field the "same jageerdar" that they are trying to dispose off. Yet IK didn't bother to pay heed to their advice and pleads

Ignorance is bliss, IK is ignorant he needs to grow up. Lost winning seats. :hitwall:

Few reasons for the downfall of PTI in the by-elections

1) Tickets awarded to relatives of Speaker and CM (PTI voters didn't expect that)

2) Everything is so quite after the elections and PTI hasn't come up with that breaking news style of Change after the elections. People were hoping breaking/positive/development news before they sleep everyday. There has been lack of actions as the voters were hoping a lot more in these 3 months.

3) No local body elections yet

4) Imran Khan disappeared from the national screen as he attended the Parliament for only once and later went abroad but he hasn't been around the TV/Parliament long enough to reunite his voters in the name of Change/Peace etc. He didn't pay enough visits in the K-P as the voters were probably hoping for his presence in the province and regular meetings with the CM/Ministers and the long list of actions like something is happening and they are meeting and yeah they are doing something etc. People want to see stunts... and even if the good works are done and not shown properly... The voters wouldn't know that... Go Shahbaz Sharif strategy...Keep taking the credit of whatever little effort he makes and keep highlighting in the public.

5) There hasn't been any change in people's life... The police remains like in past, the terrorism continues, the accountability is still on the papers --- But yeah they needed to highlight these matters loud and clear and keep shouting until it reaches the ear of every voter that something is happening and they soon are going to hear something about it. Don't just seal your mouth and keep shouting towards PML-N that we needed their support to combat WoT, Drones, Electricity, Funds etc.

6) The CM House was never vacated and people were hoping to see it transformed as a Public library/place already by now.

7) CM's crazy stunts of using Helicopters to attend the wedding etc.

8) Recent scandals of fake degree holders also being existed in PTI

9) Sense of deprivation as the people of Peshawar had clearly come out of their houses to vote for PTI and many of them had never voted for any party. In by-elections half of them were not-interested as they knew it's not going to leave a major impact in the national politics and the other half were angry about Imran Khan vacating NA-1 or not placing the right candidate of their choice etc.

I agree with some of the points you have raised about PTI's performance, but to be honest, to perform miracles in the space of 2 months is unrealistic, especially when ANP's last tenure in government for 5 years was the most dismal, it will take months, maybe years to clean out the mess left by ANP.

Indeed true. I speculated it a while ago that Miftah will be fielded in senate's elections. The purpose of PML-N was to get as many seats as possible in NA so that they wont have to compromise for alliances. A good position in NA would ensure that they have the necessary space in senate to accommodate the people like miftah sb.

Agar imran khan ab kpk say jeet jaye to mujhe pakar lena. He betrayed the pathan community by leaving the peshawar seat. Pashtun community was obviously upset. You say that the supporters of PTI didnt vote. I say, the supporters of PTI did vote but in favor of ghulam bilour. This is the mentality of pashtuns. If they call you their friend, theyll die for you. But if you betray them, they'll never forgive you. Imran khan ab jeet kay dikhaye kpk main say.
