Design has changed but the dam is still there and by legal decision India can use a "minimum supply of water". We will use the same acceptable design on hundreds of such projects. Call it a fake victory or a loss but we are extremely happy with this decision .

The Chenab Valley Power Projects is a joint venture between of the Government of India and the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, with both having equal stakes in these project. The people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh deserve to reap the benefits from the rivers that pass through their land.

The Indus water treaty was signed between India and Pakistan without even consulting the people of Jammu and Kashmir, which is unfair to them, and is also the reason why they want the IWT scrapped.

There was a reason Quaid-e-Azam said Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan. Successive governments military included have done nothing but further their own agenda at the expense of Pakistan. The chutia field marshal Ayub relied on US guarantee rather than cashing on the opportunity which arise in 62. Moreover no dams have been built neither in military rule nor in domestic.
Those thinking about war, do you honestly believe a leader like Nawaz can take Pakistan to war? A leader who could not keep the Afghan border close for a month will actually lead Pakistan to war, this would be a joke of the century.
