Burning of Koran is CANCELLED

The ground zero mosque should go ahead at every cost because it will break the phobia americans have built up co-releating 9/11 with islam as per the wishes of "secret inside hand".

The Quran burning on other hand is plain out insult and someone should deliver vigilante justice. I recommend being beaten down to death by thousand blows.

Thank you so much for the confirmation.

The difference here is that this Christian religious nutjob is truly part of the fringe while his counterpart is a member of the mainstream.

And you know this as an expert on Islam, no doubt.

Here are some quotes from mainstream Christian leaders:
Tele-evangelist Roberston's Quotes of Hate - Christian Aggression
700 Club, 1-7-91: “What is Hinduism but Devil worship, ultimately?”

Or from a half-Jewish mainstream leader:
Islam in Europe: Sarkozy: 'too many Muslims in Europe'

Of course, you will dismisss these as aberrations. Selective myopia is the favorite tool of people pushing a particular agenda.

The important thing about this Florida pastor is not that he is a fringe figure, but that he has been turned into an international celebrity, and his cause promoted worldwide, by the mainstream Western media.

All under the guide of 'reporting'.

It ain't fooling anybody.

And of course I do so dismiss. The FBI hate crimes statistics has it that hate crimes against Jews are 10-1 compared to hate crimes against muslims in America. Probably the same for Hindus or Buddhists as well. If their words are as influential as you would like the deceive people, then the statistics would have been the other way around.

But of course, now comes the convenient conspiracy theories...

Last I checked, US troops hadn't invaded a jewish country and, directly or indirectly, caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of jews.

And nobody, least of all the Evangelicals themselves, denies the influence of Evangelical leaders on the US Congress.

And am certain your 'checking' skills would find that more muslims died at the hands of other muslims inside their own countries than from external causes.

And nobody, least of all the Evangelicals themselves, denies the influence of Evangelical leaders on the US Congress.
Yup...They influence the US to 'meddle' in Bosnia to save the muslims from the Christians. Not counting to help the muslims from natural disasters. But of course, now come the loony conspiracy theories about HAARP...

Irrelevant canard.

The issue under discussion is the effect of hate speech by religious leaders. The fact that muslim religious leaders use hateful speech against fellow muslims does not get others off the hook.

Your assertion was that only muslim mainstream leaders engage in hate mongering, and any hate mongering by christians and jews is only done by fringe elements.

I proved you wrong.

End of discussion.

Yup...They influence the US to 'meddle' in Bosnia to save the muslims from the Christians. Not counting to help the muslims from natural disasters.

The US provides humanitarian help, as do almost all other countries, according to their abilities. You may not know that during the Mississippi floods, Bangladesh donated thousands of bags of jute to form levies.

From each according to their means...

But of course, now come the loony conspiracy theories about HAARP...

No comment on HAARP but, in general, your penchant to hide from reality by dismissing all uncomfortable facts as 'conspiricy theories' is a sign of inferior debating skills.

When Pat Buchanan, on Fox News at that, advocated that US Marshals, aka the might of the US government, be dispatched to prevent the burning of the Quran event...

End of discussion indeed...

I should also add another mainstream man. Remember father Micheal's and his puppets ?

Knowing full well that such intervention was Constitutionally untenable...

Disingenuous at best.

Figuratively speaking...I try to stay away from Pat Buchanan as far as I could. But in this case, I am more than willing to stand next to him. So would many conservatives and Republicans. This Christian nutjob of a 'pastor' has -- pretty much -- only his immediate family for a 'congregation'. The guy was a nobody and nobody of any substance rallied to his cause. So the issue is not so much about the Constitutionality of mine and Buchanan's sentiments but that this guy has virtually no support for what he wants to do.

Give it up...

“He’s a lunatic, and yet I still feel like I need to get the message out that we’re not lunatics with him,” said Ms. George, 46. “I don’t want this to represent my neighborhood.”
For the muslims in the ME, those 'Death to America' rallies draws large crowds, enough to make any American televangelist jealous. But for this loon, even the locals refused to give him the time of day. But even so, Americans do not ignore those 'Death to America' calls. The time is here that we will critically examine the ideology that is the moral foundation of those who made that call.

Thread title needs to be changed. I just watched BBC news, Burning koran is still there.

Sure, hurting others faith by doing burning stuff is alwayz condemmable. .but another point of view is that who comes first [nation constitution law] OR religion.. Dunt view the things from religious spacs only...On a broader sense, The West alwayz craves for materialism while the east still stick to the religion/fundamentalism.
This also explains why the west is technologicaly and economicaly superior..one should separate religion from politics/nation interests . .after all religion is personal entity between human and God.

I don't think America has suffered like the Middle East has. America has less then 10,000 casualties, (Iraq+Afghanistan+9/11), while Iraq alone has suffered 100 times more.

The time is here that we will critically examine the ideology that is the moral foundation of those who made that call.
Such chants were not there for most of the 1900's. The big difference back then and now is the WOT. You don't have to look further then Obama's foreign policy to see the problem.
