Any wonder, why one often hears of suicides and fratricides from BSF and related camps and not the other way around.

well mr. here in india even a call center employee earns more than what a pakistani soldier gets for salary, dont worry about us, after the pay commission get implemented in 2016, even an indian jawan will get a far bigger salary that what pakistan army pays to its senior officers

there is no harm is praising yourself, regardless of who gets bigger pay here are some facts for you
US soldiers get more pay than Canadian
Canadian get bigger pay than French
French get paid more than Chinese
but Chinese never compared their pay with French when demanding more pay.

I know a nurse in Kerala who is paid Rs 3500 a month, In Pakistan even a bhangi wont work for 3500 a month

It is weird to hear the "Border security force" asking for additional pay for "border service". What else did they sign up for? Their regular salary is for border guarding, so why pay extra for the same? A case can be made for increasing their salary. But they cannot ask for special pay for their regular job.

They are asking equal pay not more pay for same work what army do.
Govt has done drastic partiality in terms of pay and facilities.
1. Be it huge difference in pay of army and paramilitary jawan
2. No Pension for paramilitary,
3.Free and unlimited ration for army and paramilitary men pay it from their salary. 4. CSD Canteen facility,
5.Rotational 3 year peace posting, 6.HRA,
7.Family accomodation for most armymen,
8.Ex-servicemen benefits,
9. More enmoulment for army martyrs, 10. Allocation of petrol and gas agency for martyr widows,
11. Reserved coach in train,
12. MTO facility at all major railway stations.
13. CRPF, BSF and ITBP has only 4 their own schools in entire India for their wards,
14. unlimited budget for infra and management.
15.Paramilitary don't even have their own land or even office in any major city unlike army and airforce, dependent on state authorities even for accomodation, 16. No recognition for their work.
17. Run by outsider like IPS,
18. No career progresssion,
19.No family life for entire career.....

I can write whole day brother about partiality being done by government but nothing will change in this Thankless country.

That is what my post was supporting as well. I don't know their pay structure, but if it is much less than that of the army, by all means, hike their salaries. What I find illogical is their demand for "special pay" for being posted at the border, which is their core job. But I will support bringing their regular salary to a respectable level, comparable to other forces that face the same dangers.

BTW what's going on with the anti maoist ops?

I think this special pay idea was mooted from MSP(Military Special Pay) which is given in army for deployment in hard area. Actually it is this MSP which has increased this huge difference in pay.

What about ops bro, if people like Manjhi are allowed to be CM of naxal infested state, who openly support terrorist, We can only pray for this nation. State police, politians and naxals are all hand in glove,Still ops are conducted by CRPF regularly taking suo motto of this grim situation.
Recently several big naxals are being neutralised or apprehended and lot of achivement is being made.
Naxals don't have much time left.

Defence forces are over hyped. All this patriotism is fuelling this special treatment for them.

They are only bloody doing their job. Some choose to be doctor some ca some engineer and some choose to be soldiers. There is nothing special about him until he achieve excellence in his field.

There is always tough competition to get in bsf. These guys are not doing anything special they can request not demand if country decide they will get fare share of hike.

exceptions are always there but hey, isnt the nurse's salary equal to 7000 pakistani rupees? are pakistanis willing to work for 7000 pakistani ruppees?
