No, wrong again, regarding that mountains just protect from surface radiation. The radioactive cesium-137 that came from the Fukushima blew downwind and was primarily aerial, the mountains prevented its spread. You should also look at Yucca mountain, which is used by the US for radioactive waste disposal, again a natural barrier.
