Bangladesh needs to go nuclear otherwise they will be swallowed by the western regime.

By 2030-2050 we hope, then again that would depend what government is in power around then. We should have a economy around $400bln, by 2030 and $1.5trln by 2050, so we should easily afford it, if there is the will.

very logical. a BSF jawan is generally equipped with top guns with bullet proof jacket also. its suicidal for even 10 criminals, (who would hardly have local pistols), to fight with even one armed military man. but specially for poor cow smugglers, it doesnt look possible.

What only india is allowed to have them? Get a life m***n, They said no other country was gonna get them, then China did, then it was India, then South Africa, then Pakistan........Like they will stop Iran (Iran's leadership talks too much, they should just keep a low profile and build the required parts and fissile material).

The day you BD guys got atom bomb, same day your 6% GDP growth will come down to 1% or -1% due to economic sanctions and India will have to deploy their whole Army along the border to stop you guys from illegal immigration en masse.

and as India has NFU (No First Use) policy, its useless for its any of the neighbour to have nuclear weapons in concern with India. But I do support nuclear holding of both Pakistan and China if they believe they would have this defence to protect themselves from those nuclear armed countries who don’t have NFU policy and they threaten them by nuclear weapons

So what are you saying? Because india says it has a NFU policy its ok for them to have nuclear weapons? Then it would be ok also for Bangladesh to develop Nuclear weapons it it also has a NFU policy, right?

The simple point is China felt threatened because USA, had the bomb, so they built one, then india had to have the bomb because, they felt threatened by china, then pakistan had to build the bomb because they felt threatened.....

india says it has the right to have nuclear weapons on the basis, that the NPT is racist and discriminates in favour of powerful nations, so if in the future Bangladesh should wish to build the bomb (when they can afford to) they should have no objection, (goose/gander).

it's simple, get the bomb and no one's gonna piss with you, don't mater how large a army, navy or airforce they have eg.North Korea. Don't have the bomb your goona get trodden on (panama, iraq, grenada.....).

Pakistan has the bomb, but any pakistani crossing Indian LoC are dealt with equal seriousness as bangladeshi.
Last month Iranian border guards killed two smugglers, Iran does not have weapon yet.

Unless you come strapped with N bomb, you will still face the same BSF.

Now a thread on the death of a BSF jawan is turning into one about nuclear deterrence and who can have nukes. Maybe there should be a sticky for that topic, for the endlessly repeating claims of that nature. Or is there already one?
