BSF Jawan Killed, Another Injured in 'Firing by Bangladesh Guards' in Bengal's Murshidabad Dist

There was no flag meeting before the shooting, we didn't invite them for flag meeting and shoot them without any provocation and there is no Major rank in BSF. You need some formality arrange a flag meeting. We prohibit Hilsha fishing for certain periods to keep the female hilsha safe, let it lay eggs to increase Hilsha's amount. BGB tried to arrest three fishermen while conducting patrol in Padma river with some officials from ministry of fisheries to prevent fishing Hilsha. Two of them escaped and one got caught with fishing net. Later BGB found out they are Indian.

After a while a BSF patrol team cross the zero point without BGB permission and enter inside our territory illegally. They asked BGB to handover the fisherman to them but BGB said they will do it after arranging a flag meeting between two parties with formalities and told them to wait for senior officer's arrival. But BSF tried to grab the fisherman and go back suddenly. They even beat their own fisherman. When BGB tried to stop them BSF fired 6-8 rounds at BGB. For self-defense BGB took position and started shooting back at them. BSF kept firing while backing out and going back.

After the incident both parties arranged a flag meeting where BSF commander informed it's counterpart that one of their own dies and another got shot in hand. They still haven't officially protested or informed about the death of their soldier.

Thanks. I got it.

Thats bloody disgusting. If a Hindu child from India gets shot dead at the US-Mexico border, would you like to hear such a comment? We bash each other regularly and brainlessly on these pages. But I don't think there is any need to defend a deliberate killing of a minor.

Most of them have totally lost their minds. People, who can vote for a known mass murderer and make him prime minister, can defend any of their crimes or wrong doings.

.
These BSF rascals are also delusional like PDF Indian and Pakistanis ( who are in love with PDF Indians )
Few days ago your top minister said that Bd is wife of Bharat and we are delusional:undecided:

AL ministers are actually retards , so ignore them .Bangladesh political govt always has been dependent on one person and that is PM .

So if something good or bad happens , only PM is the responsible . Our PMs from 1991 to present days are actually absolute monarch Like Saudi King , just wear the coat of parliamentary system . So what others say , that really don't matter .

It wasn't deliberate. BSF asked them to stop first.

Look this shouldn't be that difficult to understand. BD is a sovereign country. India is a sovereign country. What we do inside our border is our business. If Bangladeshis want to visit India there are ample number of official border crossings.

This very thread is about a BSF guard entering BD and getting killed. If it turns out that they indeed entered BD without permission, then you won't hear a single beep from South Block. What BD does with illegal infiltrators in their territory is not our business. If there are Indians illegally entering BD, I would expect BGB to handle them as they wish.

That answered all your misgiving. Your forces came in our territory without prior permission and opened fire. As a sovereign country we have every right to retain our territorial integrity with whatever lethal or not amount of force necessary.

Mir Jaafar from Bengal and Mir Sadiq from Daccan (the person, who betrayed Sultan Tipu)

They are utter disgrace, for the nation, for the faith, for the country
Indeed, is Mir Zafar used as an insult for traitors in your country?

That's...exactly what I said. In the last para of my post.

The comparison is inappropriate. Comment by @masterchief_mirza was on the killing of a minor unarmed Bangladeshi girl, by BSF, which carries no justification, whatsoever, except that it was done mistakenly.

Indeed, is Mir Zafar used as an insult for traitors in your country?

Of course. It is almost abuse to call someone as Mir Jaafar.

BGB kills BSF man in self defence

A flag meeting was held in the afternoon in this regard

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) said its members were forced to fire back in self-defence after being attacked by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along the Rajshahi border on Thursday that led to the death of a BSF member.

The incident took place 650m inside Bangladesh territory in Shahariaghat Balughat of the river under Charghat upazila in Rajshahi district.

Rajshahi BGB 1 Commander Lt Col Ferdous Ziauddin Mahmud confirmed the matter at a press briefing around 9pm Thursday.

He said: “A BGB patrol team of Charghat BOP managed to detain an Indian fisherman, while two others escaped, as they had crossed 500m from the 75/3-S pillar and over to Bangladesh side.”

“Soon after, four BSF members illegally made their way to confront the patrol team and demanded the release of the detained fisherman.”

“At that time, BGB patrol informed them that the detainee would be handed over to the BSF over a flag meeting and they [the BSF men] too would be handed over at the flag meeting as they were trespassing.”

“The BSF members became nervous and opened fire on the BGB members and tried to snatch the detained fisherman. When the BGB members returned fire in self defence, the BSF members retreated, during which a member was killed and another wounded.”

A flag meeting was held in the afternoon in this regard led by Rajshahi BGB 1Commander Lt Col Ferdous Ziauddin Mahmud and BSF 117 Captain KS Mehta.

Replying to a query, he said the identity of the deceased and wounded BSF member were disclosed to the BGB as of yet.

In a press release, signed by Public Relations Officer of the BGB headquarters Md Shariful Islam, said three Indian fishermen were seen fishing in the Padma River in an engine-run boat 350 yards inside Bangladesh from the zero line under BGB Rajshahi Battalion Charghat Border Outpost (BOP) around 10:40am.

A patrol team of BOP along with Charghat Upazila Fisheries Department's Field Assistant Abu Raihan and two other assistants went to the spot as part of mother Ilish protection campaign. They detained one of the fishermen, Prabal Mandal, along with illegal current net while two others fled, the release added.

Later, four BSF members from Kagmari BOP under BSF 117 Battalion entered 650 yards inside Bangladesh territory through Shahariaghat Balughat in a speedboat. One of them was in uniform while three others were wearing half-pants and under-vests. They were also carrying firearms, the release said.

At the meeting, both sides agreed to not let the matter escalate and take action peacefully, said Lt Col Ferdous.

They also agreed to hold the flag meeting again for further discussions on this issue.

Indians and mistakes are few and far apart, they always do stuff deliberately and judging by the ripe epidemic in their country at that time, you could only imagine what she might have gone through.

Yes I remember Felani. Who was shot in Indian territory. India has a right to protect her border and that includes lethal force if necessary.
Your entire m*therfucker India territory is less expensive than a single human life. We will keep on remembering Felani and take revenge at a proper time. Our only problem is Hasina Bibi and BGB have to follow her instructions.

Tension after border firing

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi

Tension flared up along the Charghat frontier in Rajshahi yesterday morning when the Border Guard Bangladesh tried to thwart hilsa catching by Indian fishermen inside the Bangladeshi side of the Padma.

The Bangladeshi border guards said they fired three shots in the air, but the BSF said one of its jawan was killed and another injured when Indian troops came to rescue an Indian fisherman caught by the BGB.

Later in the afternoon, the BGB and the BSF held a flag meeting where both sides agreed to launch separate investigations into the incident.

BGB Rajshahi Battalion-1 Director Lt Col Ferdous Mahmud headed the BGB side while BSF commandant KS Mehta led the Indian team in the hour-long meeting held in Charghat.

Speaking at a press conference last night, Lt Col Ferdous said after the Indian fisherman was caught along current nets, four BSF members entered around 650 yards inside Bangladesh territory. One of the BSF members was in uniform while the others were wearing shorts and vests (genji). All were armed, he said.

A BGB patrol team from Charghat stopped the BSF members and said the fisherman would be handed over to the BSF authorities through a flag meeting, he said.

The BSF men then tried to take the fisherman forcibly. At this, the BGB men told the BSF members that they too intruded into Bangladeshi territory and that they would also be handed over through a flag meeting.

Panicked, the BSF members tried to rush back to the Indian side along with the fisherman. As the BGB tried to obstruct them, the BSF men opened fire, forcing the BGB members to fire back in self-defence.

Later in a flag meeting between the two sides, the BGB came to know that one BSF jawan was killed and another was injured, said the BGB official said.

He said the flag meeting was peaceful and that another meeting would be held in this regard.

Earlier in the day, Lt Col Ferdous said BSF men intruded into Bangladesh territory and attempted to snatch away an Indian fisherman who the BGB members caught from Bangladeshi territory for catching egg-carrying hilsa.

Fisheries department officials assisted by police, BGB and river police have been conducting drives on a regular basis in the Padma since Bangladesh imposed a 22-day ban on catching egg-carrying hilsa on October 9.

As part of their regular drive, a team of three officials of the fisheries department assisted by BGB members from Charghat BOP began patrolling the Padma along the border in Charghat yesterday morning, said Ariful Islam, the Charghat upazila fisheries officer.

During the patrol around 9:00am, the team found several fishermen were catching hilsa in the Bangladeshi territory of the river, said the BGB director.

When they challenged the fishermen, the patrol team managed to catch one of the fishermen who was found to be an Indian national while the others managed to flee into India.

Two hours later, BSF members went to the scene in speedboats and challenged BGB members asking them to return the Indian national, said the BGB director.

“They tried to snatch the Indian fishermen from BGB members,” he said.

He claimed that BGB fired at least three bullets in the airwhile the BSF men fired at least 15 bullets while leaving the scene.

In the last one week, Bangladeshi fishermen held meetings and have been complaining to the local authorities that Indian fishermen frequently intrude into Bangladeshi territory and catch hilsa even during the ban that will end on October 30.

WHAT BSF SAYS

In a statement, the BSF said three Indian fishermen were caught by Bangladeshi officers and two of them were released later.

“This morning, three Indian fishermen went fishing in the Padma river in the border area. Two fishermen returned and approached the Kakmarichar BSF post, saying that the Border Guard Bangladesh had apprehended them and later released two of them,” said the statement.

“Around 1030 hrs, the Post Commander and five troopers approached the BGB patrol in a BSF boat. During the flag meeting, the BGB patrol not only refused to release the Indian fisherman but also tried to cordon the BSF troops. Sensing that the situation is worsening, the BSF party immediately returned. BGB troops opened fire on the returning BSF party,” it added.

Both BSF soldiers were evacuated to the nearest medical facility, where Head Constable Vijay Bhan Singh was declared dead on arrival. The injured soldier is being treated in a hospital, the statement said.

Vijay Bhan Singh, 50, was a resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Firozabad.

Well done to the BGM please send my warm salam to them. These filth are great at killing civilians but seem to suck when it comes to real fighting.
Tell the boys at the BGM to open fire first and forget about any questions.
