Joyce was the aggressor in the opener, landing first with a nice right hand, and pushing forward looking to squeeze shots through his opponent's tight guard.

The heavier shots continued to come in from the Briton, but Yoka enjoyed persistent success behind his left jab, which was enough to shade it on two of the three judges' cards.

Joyce continued his relentless push forward in the second, with Yoka a little looser and relying more on snaking counter-shots, again catching the judges' eyes.

It effectively meant Joyce needed a knockout to win the last, and despite his best efforts Yoka survived to take the victory on two of the three judges' cards.

Once again, we know, the rest of the world knows who won this.

Well folks team GB has 67 medals now, our greatest olympic games ever. But I think the best news is that our team is very, very young and majority of our medal winners will be back in 2020. The games will be in.......you guessed it the Land of the Rising Sun.

i'd also like to goodbye to two of our greatest athletes.

Mo Farrah has decided that this is his last Olympic games. However, he has not ruled out competing in the tokyo Olympic marathon. But this is his last time on the track. Thank you Mo. I know people say we will never see your kind again, but out there amongst our 65 million people there are children that have been inspired by yourself and will run. You have been wonderful.

Every poster needs to do a parting Mobot.

We also say goodbye to our queen of the track Christine Ohuruogu. This is the last time we will see her compete in anything. Thank you darling, and again you have inspired many.

The United kingdom has 67 medals.

27 Gold
23 Silver
17 Bronze.

I'll end with a patriotic song, squadron 633 the soundtrack for the film The Battle of Britain.

Oh the first post in this epic thread was "here come the Brits" and in tribute, here indeed come the Brits lol.

Ahahahahah ..you had to put the battle of Britain theme song on there.:D

Anyway, Joe is way stronger than Yoka, if it was a professional superheavyweight match he will knock out Tonka in no time, no more than 5 rounds. :agree: But in olympics the boxing rules are different. Anyway, Joe has a Bright future ahead of him , Britain is already a world boxing superheavyweight superpower, with several of our boys in contention of holding this tittle, which is currently being held by Briton Tyson fury, while our Anthony Joshua is the current IBF heavyweight champion, having previously held the British, Commonwealth and WBC International heavyweight titles and he is still just 26 years old. So our future in superheavyweight boxing is very bright indeed.
:D

Anyway, Let's all celebrate for coming second in the medal tables. That's a great achievement indeed.:chilli: Too bad for those who say we are a poor country in decline and an irrelevant island nation. :D
Hopefully we will do even better in Tokyo as many of our athlete's are still young. :bunny:

We are a superpower in sports, there can never be any doubt about that. Not bad for a nation that was supposed to die after Brexit hahaha.

On another note, this will make your belly ache with laughter. The EU is now highjacking our medals hahahaha.
