What's new

Britain will be forced to join an EU ARMY unless we leave, says Armed Forces Minister

The projection is overwhelming for status quo.
No chance for Brexit to happen.
No way.

You need to look at the polls, and I have been on the ground campaigning, you have no idea.

I've yet to come across any Pro EU Brits, everyone I talk to wants to leave the EU.

They all exist in their minds and few earlier polls. Like I said before, they have no grasp of ground realities.

LOL!!!!!!!

Twitter?

http://www.theguardian.com/politics...-leaning-towards-brexit-guardian-poll-reveals

Public opinion has shifted towards the UK leaving the EU, two Guardian/ICM polls suggest as the referendum campaign picks up pace – with voters split 52% -48% in favour of Brexit, whether surveyed online or by phone.

You aren't aware how much North American goods pass throught your territory which you reap massive benefits from it. Please leave, France will reap massive profits from it.

Who funded development of Typhoon the most? Not the UK. You could have saved the money if you have chooser Tiger over Apache... Learn from US and USSR...

If EU had an army, unified then we would uave saved so much money to invedt somewhere else or have even more soldiers and equipment.

...and so what if rest of Europe profits more than you, give us some fat that you don't need, in trouble we are together
If argentina tries to take falklands the rest will help. Heck, occupy argentina for all I care.

Yes I am aware. North American goods will continue to pass through as the US always remains suspicious of Europe. Oh and please don't mention tariffs, that will hurt the EU more than us.
The Typhoon has it's greatest input from us. The Apache is the more battle tested machine, and our model is a variant with our own engine.
The EU army is of no interest to us, that's for you folks. Why would the British give up hundreds of years of tradition and fine soldiering for Europe? That's an insult.
We are not here to be Europe's cash cow, and that pill is harder to swallow whilst our own people suffer e.g. cuts to services and mass low skilled migration.
As for the Falklands, I'm sorry, if that had happened under an EU army they would not have fired a shot and asked us to negotiate with Argentina. At the time many people in Europe also spoke of the Argentinians European roots. Many still have soft spot for them.

We need no help in defending our sovereign territory.

F*ck yeah!! Red, white and blue!!!

What're we talking about:blink:?

Our union jack Sven!
But hey, the US flag has the same colours. You must want the empire again. 8-)

.
UK would most probably vote to leave EU.

This revelation only gives Exiters more firepower.
prudent view will prevail,. there is no strategy given by vote leave campaigners on how they ill run country after leaving EU. the real opportunity cost is unknown. there will be some hostility from rest of EU countries and changes will be needed on economics and trade .. which is not easy

. all based on half truth and fears. both sides are using fear and misleading public. issue is that the time is not right.. economic recession is not over and any such uncertainty will have adverse effect on country

Agree with your first statement. As for the secound part, thats a big joke. Very few countries have a bigger world influence than britain(bar the U.S) be it culturally, linguistically, media world reach, technology, global military bases/overseas deployments, advanced military equipments, standard of living, soft power, financial influence, educational , institutions , global electronic/spy capabilities etc. Go do some research dude.:pop:

Moreover, you mean third rate power compared to a global power like India or?:D
Well we are not talking about the past but the present & future. As I said british are just US's lackey (remember tony blair ) and nothing more. Germay/france have more power in EU than Brits. At the best they can influence small pain in the *** countries like pakistan by hosting MQM or other terrorists. British now a days are just nothing but of nuisance value.

It might be a hard pill for brits to digest and even harder on their arrogant ego , move with times sun has set on british empire. May be I should quote your russian frnd who lives nearby ,

(Britain? It's just a small island no-one pays any attention to, taunt Russians: Astonishing attack on PM as tensions mount at G20)

Brits can have everything in the world but still not get the respect that major powers get. I suggest brits form an alliance with North korea & pakistan to gain more focus & attention. but respect ..... :pop:

Britain is the fifth largest economy in the world and has the fourth largest military budget (both above India by the way). The overwhelming majority of countries rank below us. That isn't irrelevant in anybody's book. Why are you commenting anyway? Our relations with the EU is none of your business.

Japan's economy is bigger than India & britain but do they command the same respect as Russia would ? British power is on wane whether you like it or not it is a fact. British military cannot do any thing without US help.
Living on past glory.:D

Whats it got to do with us? Just giving right perspective of situation from outsider POV. Not interested dont bother :enjoy:.

Lmao.......yes Britain is a third rate power compared to superpowers like India. I agreed about that, so why are you still arguing?:enjoy:

Lol its normal for people from our former colonies to be bitter , some still have this bitter colonial hangover. Lol. Its same with people from France's and even Russia's former colonies. So dont take it too seriously. :p:

This union is already a sinking ship!

Britain better stays away from it, but Britain stays in this union could help China to do divide and rule works and gain more economy interests!

we see Britain as our truely capable partner in the WEST!!!

Japan's economy has been suffering deflation. British power is not on the wane, on the contrary it will rise again. Lol@without US help, please pay attention to what happened in the Falklands.
No one is living on past glory, the UK is grand and stands heads and shoulders above many nations.
Of course it has nothing to do with you dear chap, I only replied to your assertions that the UK is insignificant now.

its okey either way... which is prudent? staying in? at 30+ percent unemployment in some EU countries its seems to be a dangerous club to be in, right now.
however most brits are conservative, they will prefer status quo to a move to glorious uncertainty.
