What's new

Brig (retd) Ijaz Shah has been appointed as Minister of Interior

.
That just reinforces my point - both articles point out the lack of credible information regarding Aafia Siddiqui’s whereabouts after she disappeared in 2003.

In any case, she is not the topic here. Please feel free to believe what you will. I stand by my earlier statements in this regard.

Come now, you’re a data driven individual. It’s not about what I choose to believe, but the fact that there is no credible evidence in support of the claim that Aasia Siddiqui was secretly abducted by Pakistani security forces and handed over to the US.

As I said, please feel free to believe what you will. I have no need or desire to argue this matter since it is water under the bridge, past the bend and out to sea. She will die in prison, no matter how she ended up there.

Ijaz shah is loaded man good man for the job who feelings the pain we all know why they feelings it.

He definitely have the professional history, so let's see if manages to cleanse interior ministry from foreign agents.

. .
We lost something greater then above that is Akbar Bugti.

Yeah who displaced his own sub tribe and would take immense pleasure in raping his opponents wife after he's done killing him

These are his own words, when interviewed by the the time magazine. Must be a great loss to humanity for you?

The scum won't let school and infra built in his area and would stuff all the gas royalty in his own accounts

A little terse today are we? :D

Hey, you don’t want to discuss it further then that’s fine, but you disagreed with my point that she was not arrested by Pakistan and handed over to the US, and there is no credible evidence to support the claim that she was. This isn’t a matter of ‘belief’ - the evidence simply isn’t there to support what you and some others on this thread have claimed.

Yes, this is no proof:

"ISLAMABAD, May 28: An interior ministry spokesman on Friday confirmed that Dr Aafia Siddiqui, allegedly involved in terrorist activities, had been arrested in 2003 from Karachi and handed over to the US authorities."

https://www.dawn.com/news/360381

Neither is this:

"Dr Aafia Siddiqui’s sister, Dr Fauzia Siddiqui said that former President Pervez Musharraf handed over her sister and children to USA in voracity of dollars while her sister had no links with the banned organization.

Addressing the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) session on Friday she said that the incumbent government was not working for the repatriation of Dr Aafia."

Nor this:

"Jamat-e-Islami central leader Prof Ghaffor Ahmed has lashed out at President Pervez Musharraf for handing over Dr Afia Siddiqui to United States. JI central leader said that the entire nation was ashamed of President Pervez Musharraf for this immoral deed. "

https://nation.com.pk/01-Aug-2008/handing-over-of-dr-afia-siddiqui-to-us-shameful

Nor this:

"The committee was told that the lawyers hired by the government of Pakistan were being paid 2 million dollars but they were only assisting the court and not acting as lead lawyers in the case on which the committee showed serious reservation. Dr Fouzia Siddiqui made many shocking and astonishing revelations about her detained sister before the Senate Standing Committee. She said the government handed her sister over to US authorities in 2003, much before she was charged with attacking the US soldiers in Afghanistan in 2008.

"This was openly confessed by the then Interior Minister Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat in some TV programme in 2003", she maintained. "All the charges framed against her sister of opening fire on US soldiers in Afghanistan in 2008 are baseless, as she was already in US custody", she added.

She further said that she could produce before the committee the footage of the spokesman of FIA who, in 2003, made a statement on MSNBC television that Dr Aafia was practically in FBI custody."

Yes, the evidence is simply "not there". :D

Now can we please move on, politely?

3 alleged sources, of which we can rule the JI out immediately being little more than political point scoring by the religious right.

The next, an ‘anonymous’ IM spokesperson, a claim that none of the Western reporters writing extensively about the case years later considered credible enough to even mention.

And last, Fauzia Siddiquis claims which, outside of the reference to a televised comment of an IM spokesperson, have no supporting evidence. So really the only credible evidence referenced in all of this is the alleged televised claim, and I’d like to see that, because later on in the BR article Fauzia says that the spokesperson stated on MSNBC that ‘Aafia was practically in FBI custody’. That’s a far cry from the Pakistani spokesperson claiming ‘Pakistan arrested Aafia & handed her over to the US’.

So, again, no credible evidence in support of the claims that Pakistan arrested Aafia and handed her over to the US. Just a bunch of unverified claims that the subject claim is being based on. And the US never had an issue with publicizing the detention of other high level AQ detainees at Guantanamo, so why no information on Aafia’s detention, and why not even a shred of a leak about her detention by anyone involved in it so many years later?

.
Been reading up on her today, and I can’t find anything concrete indicating she was secretly arrested in Karachi and then secretly handed over to the US who then held her secretly captive for 5 years before, apparently, plotting some fantastic scheme to make it look like she was arrested (with bomb making & other terrorist paraphernalia) in Afghanistan, subsequently attacked US interrogators and was then ‘officially’ taken into US custody and extradited to the US.

A notoriously violent & oppressive Sardar? No thanks. Pakistan lost nothing with his death (talking specifically about him - obviously the deaths of the brave soldiers trying to arrest him is an unfathomable loss).

Pukhtoons and Baluch lost a great man, a great sardar regardless of what the other half of Pakistan thinks, what they think doesn’t really matter.
