I was speculating based upon his statement and those of his lawyer and the way the entire trial has been carried out.
There's a joke going around about the GHQ leaders, they come everyday to GHQ just for the golf and afternoon tea. I think he must have said that to their face.
He was retired now, it was his right as a Pakistani citizen to question the performance of the military.
They revoked his retirement conveniently and said aha now we can try you in military court because the civilian court has been embarrassing the military institutions again and again.
This is Brig Ali Khan, where is the atypical big beard that you would associate with such an extremist Mullah?
The entire case rests upon the testimony of the major.
He himself says in his petition that its an outcome of his questioning the Army Brass. If that is true, its a shame honest men with honor are being persecuted for raising voice against PA leaderships acts. In that case PA leadership is the traitor and not this man
What's more incredulous is that PA is ready to let itself be maligned with such fabricated stories to preserve the current order. Indeed shameful that the institution is further tarnished by its leaders.
A question though, since its in the media and apparently this guy is being persecuted, cannot the Supreme court take suo motu notice and try Kayani and other Generals for treason?
