in 1951-52 you had nothing to lose nowadays you have lot to lose why would the CCP go for a misadventure over a pile of rocks

Not really. Nobody's economy seems to be going anywhere. Besides, it's a matter of Chinese territory, also we need that land to trade with you to help develop Tibet. Lose? Everybody will lose. 20-30 years later, someone and someone will re-initiate contact.

You should just listen to what your Chief of naval staff said;

India cannot match China military force in military terms, both

conventional and non conventional. We neither have the capability

nor the intention to match China force by force.
