lol the thing about it is the west is organized and all allied strongly together while global south constantly gets into petty bickering or dick measuring contests and even conflicts. That's why just 700 million of them (less than half the population of China or India) pretty much balances out and out-owns the share of world than the 7+ BILLION of the rest of us. Okay fine they also robbed us blind for centuries but gotta let that go and focus on work ahead.

Meanwhile Europeans and white Americans consider themselves one identity, Western. More or less... I mean you'll find tankies, communists, trots, and others but I'm not counting them.

BRICS is a show for now. But nowhere in modern economic history has the rest of the underlings sat at a table together without the chaperones in position and whispering in everyone's ears... not to say their agents and spies aren't doing that to key figures within all BRICS nations but that's always going to be the case and happens both ways. Let's just be happy for now that India managed to do a technically difficult space project (proving it has highly intelligent people in at least ISRO... obv other places too but you get my point) and that BRICS has included more countries and some heavy hitter countries with energy POWER.

There is nothing common among BRICS countries. China is on one level. India is on 2nd level. Russia is a declining power on demographics and economics. At a certain level Russia is a White European state. South Africa has some mineral resources. Brazil is White European country (at least 60% of it).

Are you blind to the fact some 3 dozens of countries wanting to join BRICS? These include some of the most vibrant economies. Speaking of desperation, Biden, Blinken, and almost every top US officials are desperate to see Xi and visit China. Why?

Sorry for the delay. @omaromar pretty much nailed it. Shirk and kufr come in many forms that are permitted and are parts of freedom in western and secular societies, right? Can't have devil worshipping or LGBTQ parades and so on, all things permitted in free, western societies. I think it's pretty simple.

The right to peacefully protest and redress your government? Yes. Fair, democratic elections? Yes. Those things are definitely lacking in many of our home countries so there needs to be improvement for sure, just not in the same context as those in Europe and the west.

As for democracy, I don't know of another system of governance that made any country like the European countries. Democracy has demonstrated to be the best form of government so far compared to others.

If the Arabs think that they will be like Europe without rule of law, freedom and liberty, democracy, god speed to them.

Such as? Please elaborate. I did mention the lack of free elections and being able to peacefully demonstrate against government rules & laws. Post Arab Spring, the latter hasn't been tolerated and the former is practically non-existent in most Arab/ME countries.

I did forget freedom of the press which also includes the element of free speech to a certain extent, so I'll add that since you brilliantly threw in the "bonesaw" dig hahaha. Other than those mentioned, what else would you consider freedoms that Saudiya and other ME countries lack or don't allow?
