Its strategic point makes you wonder who wants to destroy this

On topic:

Why are Pakistanis here acting as if they have got the biggest deal of all time and this will eradicate their poverty one and for all which has put Indians as on fire with jealousy?

I commented on this in some other thread too. Investments are one time but sustainable growth is done by factors like education, strong and independent institutions, performing assets and standard processes. Pakistan needs to churn engineers doctors and scientists to sustain fruits of this investment.

Otherwise, this will be all by the Chinese for the Chinese and thenga for Pakistan. Ask these investments will be run by Chinese engineers with only the low class labour as Pakistanis.

Pakistanis shud be optimistic with this Chinese investments but more than that worried for fulfilling the requirements for this money.

Pakistanis can blame me if butthurt or jealousy for all they can but I strongly believe that is only the Chinese that will benefit from this. Pakistani political decisions don't seem interested in cashing on this opportunity.

I find it amazing how rag tag militant groups who don't even look like they have enough food to eat, living in mountain dirt can target such specific points in a country.

@Jungibaaz

I know where you are coming from but if it was not Pakistani media, someone else would report. I am pretty sure the attackers are equipped with satellite phones etc and would love to break the news to the world. It is therefore better that our media release such news before it is done by international media that would also spice up things and blow things out of proportion.

I understand, but if you hear me out on this one. Today was a huge day for us, and people may look back at it. Today the common Pakistani was meant to learn what it meant for us, and the media was supposed to stand at attention to this huge story and head state visit from our greatest ally. The implications of these few days were huge, and what did we get? an hour of breaking news real with the same crap written all over it, dramatized news reels and reporters on scene.

I don't care about the international media, at the very least our own media could have behaved one day away from the circus. Besides, it is from experience we can say that all international media always looks to the morbidly addicted 24 news channels of Pakistan before they put up their own stories.

Our media should have added it to a news reel maybe, waited to see what happens. But it seems every time there's a terror incident the circus arrives before the security. You and I both recall sieges taking place, and media circus telling every man woman and child in Pakistan, the exact nature of troop movements, even SF troop movement, how convenient for the attackers to attract such a following (it is terrorism after all, media exposure is key), and then to have the media point out which direction they should expect troops to attack them from.

It's not just that, the media also put a ton of focus on local petty politics again on a day like this. Especially ARY, petty, petty barking and biting.

You are right my friend. On a lighter note, we should hire media drivers for our security forces movement so at-least that way they'll reach the scene pretty fast.

If uncle sam find new port to be a treat, then that will be a bad news for pakistan.

To uncle Sam everything Pakistan related is always bad news. What is new?

That is a question that everyone from the government to the security agencies should be asking themselves. It is impossible to prevent all militant attacks, but better preparation and intelligence is a must. Especially on places of high alert. Pakistan must yet its house in order and do everything in its power to eliminate militantsnin Baluchistan.

terrorists cant have a better situational awareness than that.
rememebr that blue area lock down drama of that lunatic and his wife. she was constantly on the phone getting updates if any rain was planned on his loony husband,.the media there was also helping the wrong side

during the Naval yard foiled attack. the media was kept out and that really upset the media people and the fog of war actually kept the terrorist planners puzzled and helped in capturing them all across the country
instead if our Geo, DAWN, ARY would have been streaming live feed then things would have been different for worse

Yes after that operation they have taken a 180 degree turn against the Govt instead i would say State and shown their true color that they could go for any length for their profits and they can control the situation and change scenarios but as time passes this media has lost its credibility and it all goes down to the drain. Believe me I don't see any reasonable person taking our media seriously any more.

.
Its normal in Balochistan . BLA can attack any tree, rock, pipeline or solitary Radar station to show their frustration,so nothing new here. These attacks are good in a sense that they give FC a good excuse to go on the hunt and cull a few dozen Indian pet dogs the BLA

Doesnt the government regulate the information or hasnt it given the media a set of rules?
