Army will support hosting of PSL final in Lahore, says Bajwa

Despite the Monday suicide attack in Lahore that claimed at least 13 lives, army chief General Qamar Bajwa has said Pakistan Army will support hosting of the Pakistan Super League final in the Punjab capital.

Soon after the attack, social media users were quick to suggest that the blast was meant to derail plans to hold the highly-anticipated fixture.

The second edition of the annual T20 tournament – like the first – is ongoing in the United Arab Emirates due to security concerns, but after the recent military crackdown on extremism, officials were confident enough to pick Gaddafi Stadium to host the final.

However, General Bajwa, on a visit to Corps Headquarters in Lahore on Tuesday, said such incidents could not lower our resolve to fight terrorism.

“Army will extend full support to all concerned for holding the event as scheduled,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) quoted the army chief as saying.

Earlier, PSL chairman Najam Sethi said the league’s finishing game will be held in Lahore if cricket fans and citizens of Pakistan were ready to watch the match without foreign players.

Decision to defend the Lahore PSL final and make it success certainly wonderful gesture by Military head we all appreciate it (Raises moral of people)

Bold move however the real problem lies to west

Assigning Soldiers to safeguard neighbourhoods etc or cities , we might not be using the potential of our capabilities to full potential , such can also be achived by Rangers (Military Rep)/Police

Need proper action (strategy for permenent solution)

The military really need to address the nation and boldly state , a legitimate permenent fix , the military units are better utilized if we launch a major offensive to fix the cancer on western front

May be 4% - 5% of our Force

We need 2 Bold generals to Take the Southern Front / Northern Front in Afghan area and they should be fully supported by Airforce Units

I think Military's main role is Offence / defence at border and no reason why the afghan area should not be taken , and then targets are neutralized with FULL force

Goal should be to keep the bombings "CONTROLLED" in a zone created by Miliatry and then full force should be used to neutralize


Meanwhile ISI should spread network locally to find out the Sympathizers locally and Nab them (Gangster / criminal / terrorist types)

Once the Major cities are taken (Afghan area) , the Mountain range should be watched by UAV patrol , which can be coordinated even from our Pakistan Airforce bases.


The plain area of Afghan region should be neutralized first

No reason why a looser from Afghan area (speaking of Terrorist) jumps on a Donkey , and comes all the way into city and commits act of terror.


We can easily control the Mountain areas with UAV patrol

Secure the Afghan plain , zones - cities and then Rain a Heavy Hammer on mountains on Terrorist safe heavens if any intelligence points to any culprits


Pakistani Losses will be minimum with usage of Technology

if next time pak army wants to test any missile or any tank fires...ect they should go to afghan border and send it to Afghanistan. instead wasting on our own soil lets test out there. that won't be a waste at all if that missile can take bunch of TTP dogs to hell.
