The point of having a car or flying somewhere is to get from point A to point B. If you feel like hauling your *** 100 km every day then sure drive around. Most things are at walkable distance in Indian cities and towns, so the need for car is not felt as much. Still there are lots of people who have car at home to take the family out on weekends. Where the need is felt people can and do fly in India too.
