Please find if there is self respect of in there somewhere.

GHQ is one of the organs of state and give their input into foriegn policies whenever it is necessary and needed. Surely it is a norm all over the word But hey sitting in afghanistan which is closer to Pakistan, you may be more knowledgeable than me perhaps.

Are you sure it was a raid against Good Talibans ? Because News sources are quoting it was a Qaeda hideout

The key word here is not giving recommendations but actually making the policy.

Anyways it's Pakistan's own business how they do govern their country but if you read Hussain Haqqani's or Ahmed Rashid writings you can clearly see how the military has been steering the policy making ever since Pakistan's birth.

They say every country has an army but Pak army has a country.

/Peace

COAS Gen Raheel thanks Commander of Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan, Gen John Nicholson and Afghanistan security Forces for recovery of Ali Haider Gilani in a successful op in Afghanistan

can you elaborate how Afghanistan is acting like a mini India
Excuse my rather blunt words (if you aren't strong minded, stop reading now):

By acting like an ungrateful brat, on an international stage, that's one.
Does Afghanistan ever feel grateful for what Pakistan has done for it? I haven't seen a speck of positiveness from Afghanistan regarding Pakistan.
Balkh University? Holding her refugees? What about these? http://www.dawn.com/news/1238972 ?.
What about the countless scholarships given to Afghan students?.
Every evil is blamed on Pakistan, did you ever think of it?, I bet you didn't.
Secondly, why are you so afraid of GHQ? I've seen you mention it in nearly every post; GHQ propaganda, media, conspiracy etc...
Hussain Haqqani's or Ahmed Rashid writings
May I recommend Christine Fair, maybe she's a strong enough doze off anti-Pakistan sentiment for you?.
They say every country has an army but Pak army has a country.
The fact that people like you are anti-Pakistan makes us like our army even more when you mention ill words against them.
You were begging the same people for salvation, not too long ago.
.

They say every country has an army but Pak army has a country.

It was wrong from the beginning, see.

i. Every country has an army; but Pakistan has several armies, regular and jihadis. Now jihadis don't even accept constitution of Pakistan. Regular army is busy in proving that every country has an army and Pakistan also has one army :D

ii. Pak army has a country; but Pak army used to have two countries i.e. East and West Pakistan. Now she is busy in proving that Pakistan army has only one country, no Karachi Pakistan and Baloch Pakistan.

Must be American' Forces, I doubt that Afghan Forces posses the pair which required to do such jobs .

.
The Resolute Support Twitter account announced this morning, "Ali Haider Gilani, Pakistan ex-PM's son, rescued today in Giyan District, Paktika Prov by US Special Ops Forces/AFG Commandos partnered raid." This must have been the much awaited news, particularly for former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Yusuf Raza Gilani, his family and the people of Pakistan at large.

The combined counterterrorism mission retrieved Gilani from a compound in Giyan district of Paktika province, which borders Pakistan, said a statement from the U.S military in Kabul. We, at USCENTCOM, congratulate the Afghan and US team that conducted this mission, and for sending a clear message to the enemy that no matter what, we will eventually catch up with you.

I guess it was pretty clear when i said state of organ giving necessary piece of advice or recommendations on policy matters. If they are taken by civilian government as it is, does it mean GHQ is running the show ?

Quoting Hussain Haqqani on Pakistani matters is akin to Quoting Gulbuddin Hekmatyar,on afghani matters. Will you take your history lessons from Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, ?

Thank God , DG ISPR didn't issued any stupid tweets like he did in shahbaz taseer case.

ANSF special forces assisted by US forces rescured the son of ex PM of Pakistan in Ghanzi province.
The son of the ex PM was kidnapped in Pakistan a few years ago.

Moral of the story :

- Ghazni = A major center of the good Taliban, where they easily know the movements of anyone and everyone, probably the PM's son was held in one of their camps.

- ANSF : Labeled by some in Pakistan as the bad guys, rescues the PM's son returning him back to Pakistan with respect. They could have lost some of the brave soldiers in this operation.

Now those advocating for the return of the Talis to Afghanistan should do the math.

stop being apologetic, why you need acceptance of pakistan (a supposed enemy)? isn't your american father enough?
Gelani must have sent a huge money to ANSF personal to do this.
