For your first para. Now you are the one countering yourself. So horsemeat is equivalent to human meat now? Islam isnt affected by anyway by banning beef just like it isnt affected by banning dogs, horses or cats.
Wrong...unlike horse meat or dog meat(the analogies u gave)...a cow can be slaughtered on Eid-ul-Adha as part of a religious sacrament in Islam.
Got it? Religious or not, horsemeat is banned for cultural reasons, the same reason Cow is considered like a mother in Indian culture cos it continues to give us milk even after human mother stops giving milks
"Cow is considered like a mother in Indian culture cos it continues to give us milk even after human mother stops giving milks."
Weak argument...buffalo, goat, camel, etc. also give milk...sooo we should have multiple mothers then?
In any case Hindus can believe whatever they want...it doesn't bother me. As long as their beliefs aren't enforced on others. Each person is free to believe what they want.
Why do Pakistanis wear Burqa? Is it a religious or a cultural issue? Can anyone point out exactly? Some will argue its import of Arabian culture, some will argue its religious requirement. Same here. I see this issue as a purely cultural.
Pakistan and its laws are not the point of discussion. In any case Pak doesn't claim to be secular...so don't try to compare it with India which claims to be secular.
Thus the whole reason behind its culture. In India cows are not raised for meat. Its actually banned in even Beef allowed states to have cows reared for meat. Even in those states, you can only sell cows which are in their end of their productive life cycle.
For the second para, its what you had quoted previously segregating Indians on the basis of religion. In Indian culture Cow is considered a mother and I dont care what religion the Indian belongs.
"cow isn't holy for INDIANS. It's only holy for HINDUS. If it was holy for INDIANS then nobody in India would slaughter cows...and we wouldn't be having this argument."
Cow is holy in Indian cultural aspect. Simple as that. Just cos we have some 15% converted population doesnt mean they start following Mecca or Vatican culture. Infact in states other than UP, you cannot even buy beef meat. Its very rare to sell in other states.
We can agree to disagree though.
We could agree to disagree if we couldn't accurately determine the truth...however we can. Once the truth/fact is known...u can't exactly disagree with it unless u want to be wrong.
Like I said in my previous post...u keep claiming it's a cultural issue and I'm saying it's a religious issue.
I can provide u proof that cow is considered holy(and mother) in Hindu RELIGION...not Indian culture.
An Indian Muslim or an Indian Christian doesn't consider cow holy nor mother. So unless u provide me proof/evidence where Indian Muslims or Indian Christians consider cow holy or mother as part of their culture...only then ur argument has some weight. Otherwise it's total BS. So show me proof
In case u keep up with news...there was a news story not too long ago about a Muslim woman in Indian Kashmir who slaughtered a cow publicly as a protest against beef ban. So much for ur argument about Indian Muslims CULTURALLY thinking of cow as a mother
