Breaking: Kobe Bryant has died in helicopter crash at 41

. . . . .
Kobe went to lower Merion high school, which is right outside of Philadelphia.

Rooted against him when he played my team (the Philadelphia 76ixers) But always respected him.

RIP to Kobe, his daughter and the rest of the passengers.

. .
RIP a loss for basketball fans , good role model stayed out of trouble , educated and talanted

I am at a certain part of life , when I now see bigger then life Icons dieing and it only confirms one thing life is finite, when I was younger sure, there were news about folks passing away but it was unimaginable as I had no personal contact with these iconic or not so iconic people, I was busy with doing homework just to get my grades trying to grow up. The finite nature of life was not clear, a classmate died when I was grade 2 or 3 but my mind did not understand what it meant , he just did not show up to class after.

As I grew, certain people their star just shined so brightly - they were the envy of our planet's population. The landmark of Success. They were bigger than life , their stories in news were guaranteed just like the sun rises in East every day, it became a routine

  • These icons were brightest people, charismatic folks of their generation and millions or even billions watched them reach their peak and awe'ed at their achievements
    • Princesses
    • Singers
    • Dancers
    • Sports Man
    • Actress /Actor
and so on.....

Slowly I now see such icons dying left and right , natural causes or accident or incidents such is way of life

  • The icons had a sense of immortality about them bigger than life
  • Paparazzi followed them day and night
Yet in a blink of an eye ... the flame vanishes

Everyone, one day will move to the afterlife

The time we are here is little

The planet continues to live on , it has been here for billions of years
The planet , is robust and has no connection to who lives or who goes , the next morning comes after the nightfall such is the way of the planet , it's been like this for billion of years

The Sun rises in East and the heat warms the planet and flowers bloom , and clouds slowly drift away

The Candle which burned so brightly in the corner, is there no more, but you can tell it was there once , as you see traces of wax that once there was something there .... on this planet

I still have the motivational videos from 08 for BBall showing his career from the beginning.

I liked him and Iverson.

Don't think Kobe will be willingly go on to a helicopter than he know it was not serviced regularly and check, in fact, I think he own that chopper in question.

Also, there is a chance that this is a Pilot Error, which is 70% of all reason why aircraft crashed. I think you should wait for official FAA/NTSB investigation before comment on why the plane crashed. Or unless you know something we all don't?

Iversen in his prime was one hell of a player indeed. Made fools of many on the court.
