Breaking: Heavy Gunfire near Saudi Royal Palace in Riyadh, rumors of possible coup attempt

All Irani hopes of a coup just disappeared.
It was a toy drone being shot down by palace guards .

. . .
If it was a toy why did we hear some bigger shots what did they use to shoot it down? 9mm is not enough?

.
Well MBS or master bull shitter has bit off more than he can chew. No sympathy

Confusion erupted on Saturday following reports of heavy gunfire near the Royal Palace in Saudi Arabia.

The Wall Street Journal reported that a toy plane or drone had been shot down after getting too close to the palace.

The Journal cited a source saying it was unclear whether the drone represented a threat or not.

The Saudi Press Agency said in a statement that a "small, drone-type remote-controlled recreational aircraft" was deployed "without being authorized to do so, which required security personnel at the security point to deal with them in accordance with their orders and instructions in this regard."

Earlier, there were several unconfirmed reports and videos posted to social media purporting to show heavy gunfire near the king's residence in Riyadh, the capital city.

It almost certainly was just a drone.

But going on a slight tangent, don't take anyone's word for what has happened when it is suspected a coup is underway. One of the main targets in a coup are the state radio/TV stations. The illusion of being in control is enough to give you control in some situations. I am not saying this just because it's the Saudis. Remember Zimbabwe's "not a coup", Turkey's attempted coup etc.

The main reson why the coup in Turkey failed is because it had been executed in the evening hours instead of 3 in the morning as planned so it would be pretty dumb to repeat that mistake in Saudi Arabia.

Usually coups happen when everybody is sleeping, at least that was the case in Turkey.

A toy drone flew over a residential area where it was not authorized to fly.. it became a coup all of a sudden.. so much of wishful thinkers with malice in their minds..

Can anyone tell why all this hatred for A prince and the Saudi family, not to talk about Saudi Arabia in general..?

Or, to be more precise, what did he do bad to you?

Or is it just the trend of the day to vent some frustrations on someone..?

Let me tell you what's truly evil: Saudi Arabians celebrating in Twitter when ISIS launched a terrorist attack in Tehran. I read hundreds of their tweets. You have animals who literally celebrate ISIS attacks on civilians in another country, so I think you better take a look at home first.
