A number of videos have emerged online, purportedly showing heavy gunfire in close proximity to the royal palace in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh. The local police confirmed the disturbance was caused by a drone.
A small unauthorized drone flew in proximity to the royal palace and security personnel dealt with it "according to their instructions," Saudi Press reported quoting local police.

The comment came after a number of videos, supposedly taken in central Riyadh, emerged online showing military or emergency vehicles with their lights flashing and gunfire heard in the background.
