I think we Diaspora Pakistanis are gifted by being in a diverse environment. While Pakistanis back home live under the mirage that Indian Muslims and Bangladeshis are all Pro-Pakistani and every Muslim will support us, we have directly observed and gotten to know those Indian, Bangladeshi, Arab, Afghan, etc. “Muslims” who make it their life goal to hate Pakistan and Pakistanis.

I used to know one Afghan student who would come to our MSA only to vote against any Pakistani running for elections, lol. Not to mention those Indian Muslims who try to further the lies and convince Muslims that Pakistanis are not real Muslims because we have a democratic state or because we disagree on Kashmir.

Many of these religious circles in the US are filled with Indian, Bengali, and Arab open racists against Pakistan and Pakistani culture. The whole Mosque culture in the US since the mid-2000s has become anti-Pakistani.

When you are proud to be a Pakistani and support your country, talk about Kashmir, even Western Pakistanis will try to silence you for fear of upsetting these people.

A few things brothers, firstly in the UK our (Pakistani community) is different and other Muslims tend to be supportive of the Kashmir situation e.g. Bengalis, Somalis and Arabs. One of the main factors behind this has been that the Pakistani community was the first real large scale Muslim community established here, so when later arrivals came they relied on the established community for funerals, Friday prayers, halal meat, support in applying for schools, help with documents e.g. applying for citizenship and so on. So many of them do feel quite indebted to the community.
I'm with you on the whole narrative of a leader spilling his/her all for other Muslims but sidling their own identity, they're not worth our time.
