Incase of an war, how do you think Iran responds to the threat to its eastern border ? do you think Iran airforce will launch an surprise attack at these bases and airfields (making US jets unable to retaliate) and how are the US airdefence of the bases in Herat? it seems the US base in Jalalabad is the most protected making the other US bases very vulnerable.
It looks like incase of an war Iran will shake the US military authoritiy in Afghanistan and making them further vulnerable to Talib attacks. the closest US base is in Farah, which might get easily destroyed by iranian artillery,airforce or missile strikes

I have seen more than 20 F-15s and F-16s in Bagram air base and I am sure plenty more of them are in other bases; don't you think USA have already thought of this issue?

No military units will be moved in the open, the US wont see from where its bases will get hit. Iran has many options which include missile strike and artillery strike beside the air raid options

I don't talk about military units, but about artillery, warplanes, etc. The US is monitoring everything, their military intelligence is the best in the world. They clearly know where Iran's artillery is located and where Iran's warplanes are stationed. They even know most missile depots. Even if they have the slightest idea Iran want to attack US military bases in Afghanistan they will destroy every military targets near the eastern border. Iran have no idea what at that moment just hit them.

If Iran ever dares to attack US military bases in Afghanistan Iran can say goodbye to their military infrastructure. Iran won't attack US in Afghanistan; because they know that's the last thing they ever will do.

Besides that, Iran knows very well that attack bases in Afghanistan mean the end of their power. Iran won't take that risk because it can lead to a US invasion and Iran want to prevent a US invasion at any cost.

You don't think that the US know Iran is active on the Afghan border? When the US attacked Afghanistan in 2003 and send special forces units into the ground they briefed those units by stating that Iranian agents are also operating in Afghanistan and they should watch it closely. The US knows more than you think.
