Bo’s ouster sparks protests in China

No, it is you Indian "noobs" who are in a thread about Chinese domestic issues, and you guys don't even know who Bo Xilai is anyway.

I do know.

He was a party leader in a major region, power got in his head and the higher-ups taught him a lesson. The issue in my posts was that you guys are exposed to subjective, biased information and in turn you base your arguments on . I am in no way advocating Bo Xilai. He is nomenclature that got too far.

The issue is also the higher up nomenclature is trying to nullify the damage made by Bo Xilai. In a nutshell:
-he was ours
-he did bad
-make an example out of him
-disable all the talks relating us to him so that the people dont get any ideas there is more of us like him.

It's classic.

Foreigners that go to China are amazed at the safety, efficiency and quality of public services. Foreigners that go to India are amazed, but for other reasons.

Foreigners were also amazed when the footage of a Chinese toddler being left on the street for 20 mins in a large store/warehouse/drivethrough.
She was ran over by a small lorry twice in the space of 20 minutes. Noone picked her up, noone cared. Security cameras caught it all. Eventually the lorry driver was aprehended iirc. But still....

lmao Chinese? What about the people who finished schooling at the time when no one gave two shytes about China or Chinese and the subject wasn't offered in their school?

Forum rule is to post in English, or post with translation, so mind your own business boi.

You certainly give more than two shytes about China now boi.

Look Boi, Bo was no rising star. Chongqing was a demotion compared to Commerce Minister. He lost the political war years ago. I don't pretend to know two shytes about Italian politics in India., don't pretend you know a thing about China.

I go to China often., never seen a toddler on the street alone. Now, how many foreigners go to India and come back calling it a total shytehole. At least 50%.

I didn't say anything about India. I was commenting on:

so? indians began to feel pity for the downfall of a left-wing harliner and a maxism fundamentalist (or pretend to be one)?

No... we are amused the way you are denying all that even when there are many reports

You should stick to discussing how your country can rise above and become a stable, democratic nation like India rather than be counted among nations like Uganda under Idi Amin or Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge.

Wow, so delusional. No, we don't want to regress to a 74% literacy rate or GDP per capita of 1000 of whatever. Please come back to reality - just because your political system has a vague resemblance to that of your white masters (except those countries typically have a 97%+ literacy rate so very few people are randomly circling ballot papers with no idea who they're voting for), doesn't mean that it's fit for export. Proselytizing political models is something only the most advanced countries can do, and even then, there's a healthy amount of opposition (see: the Iraq war). Brush up on your national indicators first (i.e. lift them out of the bottom decile of almost every international ranking), and maybe others won't instinctively recoil in horror at the idea of 'advancing' to India's stage.

This is what I think happened, in chronological order.

1. Bo Xilai's wife has some business dealings with that British guy, which went sour.
Chinese media speculates the relationship went further than that, that they had an affair.

No way that literacy is 74%. No way.

74% can recognize their name
65% can recognize their name and sign their name
55% can read
40% can read and understand at a high school level
30% can read and understand at a college level
0.5% can understand anything by James Joyce

India was a creation of the Western colonialists. They were the ones who united the many independent Kingdoms of the subcontinent, and created the entity known as "India".

"India is merely a geographical expression. It is no more a single country than the Equator."

- Winston Churchill

So now you are taking a "white man's" words as the truth certificate?

See this one from another white man who was not a cunning and shrewd politician.

India is, the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great grand mother of tradition. Our most valuable and most instructive materials in the history of man are treasured up in India only - Mark Twain
