The M2 version is half decent, though.
Yes the m2 is a good sports car.
Good drivers car.....a bit like what the m3 used to be 10 years ago.

For assembling there also required importing parts...Does BMW assemble any of their cars in Pakistan or it will be another importing burden on economy..

So better question is "if any auto company settled in Pakistani market since 2-3 decades has manufactured even 1 model in Pakistan??"
those who buy such expensive cars generally dont care much about minor scratches and fuel economy. You buy such an expensive car, you are stuck in traffic and then a rowdy guy on a bike scratches your side panel on his way to breaking a red light. You are stuck with a Rs 20-30k bill just to fix that massive scratch.
Bhai Pakistan ke liyay Honda Toyota hi best hai jab tak quam ko traffic mein gari bike chalana aye na...
Unless and until these are manufactured in Pakistan they will be shizz expensive and become a status symbol pathetic if you know what BMW 2 Series is all about.
I think the only German auto manufacturer Pakistan should ideally be interested in is the Volkswagen.
VW Golf, Passat and Polo along with Touran.
But again who the hell can afford these in Pakistan and how the hell is our economy shizzed if people are buying these cars.
How many cars does BMW sell in Pakistan annually? Does that volume makes local manufacturing (instead of import or partial assembly) cost effective?
I have no idea man. But I have seen them stroll all over Pakistan.
These costs too much unless produced locally.
The market be it a consumer one still needs added incentives.
Much of the stuff is second hand beat up crap brought in from the UK. A few thousand sales for new cars from dealerships is simply not enough to establish local manufacturing, as everybody finds out, sooner or later.
