A study by Oxford University found the number of people who receive blood clots after getting vaccinated with a coronavirus vaccine are about the same for those who get Pfizer PFE, +1.16% and Moderna MRNA, -0.10% vaccines as they are for the AstraZeneca AZN, +1.99% vaccine that was produced with the university's help. According to the study, 4 in 1 million people experience cerebral venous thrombosis after getting the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, versus 5 in 1 million people for the AstraZeneca vaccine. The risk of getting CVT is much higher for those who get COVID-19 -- 39 in a million patients -- than it is for those for get vaccinated. AstraZeneca's vaccine use has been halted or limited in many countries on blood clot concerns.

Add some dose of blue pill then, that anti cloting stuff... But that might given population boom. What a tragedy 😁

a study put out by oxford that also produced the astrazeneca vaccine...ya think there could be some bias involved in making the competition look as bad as themselves?

not likely. The numbers speak for themselves, but we need to remember that correlation is not causation. It will take further review to under if there is a link between the vaccine and clots.

Secondly the number of people getting clots in the days and weeks after getting the vaccine are less then from taking other medications, such as birth control in women. I’m not surprised people are reporting clots with this vaccine, in the general population there are a lot of potential side effects that can have other origins or caused be caused by the vaccine. Those experiencing the potential side effects will be studied to determine if the vaccine was the cause.

But the alternative to the vaccine is being vulnerable to COVID, and very contagious variants like the one sweeping through Brazil, disproportionately effecting 20-40 year olds, as was the case in the 1918 pandemic. Global attention needs to be rushed to help Brazil contain their outbreak before it spreads globally.

The key difference is with the risk within each age group, not the risk for the entire population.

The immune response to the COVID virus itself causes cerebral venous thrombosis in some patients this discovery was made by Chinese doctors in Wuhan, March 2020. The key factor here is immune response and the characteristics of the COVID virus that forces the anti-bodies to attack blood cells.

When China eventually publishes data for its vaccines I am confident we will see a similar pattern as the other vaccines including Sputnik.

I don't know. From the revealed data, mRNA-based vaccines trigger far more anti-bodies. Yet, their blood clotting incidents ain't more frequent than others. I suspect it really comes down to the fake virus those vaccines generate.

a singapore study shows over active T cells caused by certain vaccines lead to blood clotting to repair damages done to blood vessels by T cells.
