You are probably too young to remember Mahdi Army and how US soldiers were ripped apart. Or even the South Iraq raid by Iranian special forces in US marked vehicles and uniforms that killed several US soldiers.

That was when US forces had free reign to move around wherever they want.

Right now they are confined to specific zones, so even if milita says attacks are coming it really doesn’t change the opsec on the ground because the soldiers already knew that.

oh yes i remember seeing footage of shiite militia ripped into pieces by 30mm chain gun fired from apache's in sadr city from history channel documentary.
