DAMMAM — The Security Spokesman of the Ministry of Interior said in a statement today that security authorities managed to foil an attempt to commit a terrorist crime targeting worshipers in Al-Anoud Mosque, Dammam City, while they were performing Friday prayer.

'Security men suspected a car when it was heading to the car parking adjacent to the mosque.

When the security men approached the car, it exploded, killing 4 people where one of them is believed to be the driver and spreading fire to a number of cars,' the spokesman said.

The security authorities launched a criminal investigation, and a detailed statement will be issued later, the spokesman concluded. — SPA

So Saudi security forces men killed in this attack ?

.
These 2 heroes are reportedly the guys who approached the suicide bomber and prevented him from entering the mosque. They took a selfie just minutes before the explosion.

RIP heroes.

Now I know why KSA started targetting Hezbollat members and sympathizers' assets in KSA and GCC

Now you should know why it was necessary to fix the house FIRST !

instead of attracting open enemies.

I just don't know when instead of building malls and luxury apartment, they will build a 20 foot high wall around Saudi Arabia.

We already did on Iraqi borders.

Yemeni borders no. Since the Majority of Yemenis are pro-Saudi and millions of Yemenis work in Saudi.

Its time for Suadi and Iranian try to work for peace in ME. Situation is getting out of hand , if this Suadi regime fall, will be biggest anarchy in the region. Govt should check its own columns for traitors. Cancer is inside .

Here we agree, collapse of Saudi government system/institutions will be chaos on unimaginable scale in the region which will empower hardline Islamists and they will prevail over everyone. Then Egypt/Iran/Gulf states will experience destabilzation. Nobody should have interest in toppling government, sadly some people(iranians mainly) see it as a gain for them since they're only looking at short term aspect and not studying the consuences will come out of it.

.
Odd timing that they choose, it doesn't seem like this will come to an end as long as wars in the region are ongoing. I don't know what the goal is, if they're trying to spark civil war what will they gain out of it? Both ISIS and Iran will try to seize the moment in the event of civil strife to advance their agendas which will lead to big quagmire. Sadly it's on that course. I feel bad for the Saudi people, they should prepare for the worst. Iranians should also prepare for the worst in the event of an ugly summer. Unfortunately everyone in this region is going to go through tough times if these wars can't come to an end and not much anyone can do. If Saudi Arabia is destabilized by contribution of both ISIS and Iran than Sunni volunteers will do what they can to protect holy sites/prevent Iranian takeover of Saudi Arabia.

Good. Let those millions of 'sunni volunteers' go sit around Mekka and Medina, and keep them out of Syria and Iraq.

Heroes in Saudi Arabia also. Sad that they have to share their country with millions of wahabbis who wish they didn't stop the suicide bomber. HEROES OF GOD! God hates Wahabbis.

Firemen work at the site where a car exploded near a Shi'ite mosque in Saudi Arabia's Dammam on Friday.

It seems Suadi mutawa are totally out control and Royal family is totally failed to contained them. Plus mutawas are much much more stronger then Suadi govt. It seems them do whatever they want and very hardcore.

No, they'll take over whole ME and Asia if Saudi is destabilized. I'm being very serious. There are already tens of millions of who sympathize with idea of Islamic unitarian state just waiting for the right time.

No one wished that except ISIS' sympathizers, who exist in KSA, Iraq or other surrounding areas. Who are still few and loathed by everyone.

If you wish to believe otherwise, you're free to do so, but it's not worth my time to argue about the subject past this point.
